a bit reluctant to post in this cancer thread, still, a genuine question: what do you think about recent linepus, the planning of subs and our patience to wait for opportunities? i mean look at this:

- vs udinese: 1-0, late goal assisted by chiesa (subbed in)
- vs cremonese: 1-0, only late goal followed by a run made by a sub (rabiot)
- vs lecce: 1-0, only goal assisted by a sub (iling), scored by a sub (fagioli) in the last 15 minutes

especially vs udinese and cremonese, we saved some quality players to raise the bar before the end of the game. also the team never got angry or impatient even when time looked like running out. (i'm not talking about fans, of course we panic when we aren't leading before the break lol) is it random luck, or do we prepare a bit more consciously for the endgames? we also scored late goals against inda (no subs involved), lazio (chiesa assist), 2 late goals by starters against empoli, 74th minute winner against toro, so i see a change in trends. at the beginning of the season we started the games strongly, and either sat back after a quick opener or got frustrated and failed to get the result later. before our current run, our only strong finish came against salernitana (winner taken away by the worst var decision but still). during our current run we learned how to be more patient and wait for sometimes one single occasion. luck or mental strength?

A combination of both. We're definitely not playing vintage champagne football, but we don't look as clueless or devoid of ideas as we did earlier this season. I have no idea if it's because of the level of opposition, fitness, returning players, young players growing in confidence, or other factors. It's probably a combination of everything. Nonetheless, if Alegri ends the season trophyless (No Scudetto or Europa League), he has to go. Two successive/consecutive trophyless seasons at Juventus constitutes failure. We fired both the chainsmoking shitcunt and Pirlo for far less.[/QUOTE]

Definitely more calm and solid during our winning streak but, we only play a half level above our opposition and take the win. You could argue that with these players, it's all we can do but we only looked good against Inter and Lazio because they are both higher level in Serie A, then we grind out shit wins against some bottom feeders.

It's a dangerous game to play and perhaps enough for Serie A, but its the same thing we do when we go out to underdogs in CL where we fizzle out when attacking. I know Allegri is making us much better but it means we play this dreadful style and I'd like us to break this style altogether, which means sacking Allegri and building with a different manager. No Conte either. I'm tired of this cycle of boring football. After our exit from CL, I've not watched us play because its dull. I hear the commentary but I can't legitimately stay awake. There is zero entertainment.

Honestly this is the truth, i started to fall asleep more during games under allegri even at his first stint but at least we were winning trophies back then

Even started to be ok to miss game. I started watching Juve religiously since 95 and almost never missed a game before allegri
You’re not the only one. 94 here and haven’t really missed this many matches any other season.

Serie A’s downfall is just catching up with us now as we were its last line of defense in European football. It’s really down to how badly we’ve been managed these last 5 years. From the board to medical and the endless injuries and coaching staff to players who couldn’t do 10% of what was expected of them. The excitement was shot dead just like Serie A to the eyes of the world.

Thankfully wouldn't know anything about throating or whatever that is. I do watch football though for 20+ years and style of football has absolutely never mattered in anything but aesthetics.

When I don't like aesthetics of something I don't watch it, follow it, comment on it. Certainly don't try to beat somebody to death about it, how they have to like or dislike it, make it seem like it's an objective metric of any kind.

But you said it doesn't matter. It actually does matter. Attractive play and big names will ostensibly lead to greater success and more commercial success in the process.

Do you remember the Juventus of Davids, Zidane, and Del Piero? I do. We played some mesmerizing football and achieved results. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
