Yes he needs better players but this dudes approach is a god damn joke and he just refuses to change. Gets the lead, what does he do? Yup, what he always does. Invites pressure. Then when he needs a goal does he bring in the young Miretti? No he brings in the EXPERIENCED Arthur, who offers literally nothing. Sick of this shit. Hope you all were happy to see him play the kid against some bottom feeders. Wake me up when he does it in a game that fucking matters.

The berna - bonnuci sub only needed the polish commentators laughter.
That was a change straight from Max's Cagliari era, when he somehow took the lead against superior opposition.
Legit question. Why does he keep making the same mistake when it has been proven time and time again that we don't have the personnel to hold on to the result?

The tide already changed before the sub. Berna was dead and wasn't able to cover his position anymore leaving Cuads in constant trouble. The "right sub" imo would have been to put on a right back instead of Berna while pushing Cuads higher. Sadly we didn't have any RBs on the bench.

But this is where you are wrong.
He could've moved de ligt to RB and moved cuads in front of him and still keep shape.
De Ligt has played there before.
He obviously switched to turtle mode, because after that sub there were 10 to 15 minutes of constant pressure until the farcical penalty.
It proved again a mistake, which Max somehow always does especially in his latest years in charge.

He doesn't seem to grasp that we don't have wc barza and Chiello on the field, but potential brainfarters at every turn.
I would like to see, starting from next year that he at least goes down in a blaze of glory instead of defending leads with poor defenders.

Better to have players in their more natural positions. I don't see how playing De Ligt as a RB instead of RCB would have helped us.

The chasing team applying pressure is to be expected. Imo where we failed was calming things down at times by keeping the ball and offering enough threat on the break. Somewhat understandable though as the team had spent quite a bit of energy getting back into the game.
