There's no defense to any of this. It obviously isn't 100% his fault. Evra is right when he says this team lacks quality, mid is still utter shit as it has been for the past 4 seasons. BUT it's still a better squad than most of Serie A and certainly better than those mid-table Spanish clubs. What happened tonight was unacceptable.

It's also obvious the issue is deeper than just changing coaches but I'd like to see us try a non-Italian who can bring a different mentality/football system.
Agree, even if our some of our players are lack of quality. Losing to this Villareal side is horrible. Their player is Capuoe (relegated with Watford), Aurier, Lo Celso, Old Albiol. Emery made them look better

I have different perspective, what Post Ironic said that we dominate for 75 mins without the result is actually the real problem. The possession and chances without result that fire back to us

With a capable coach with 75 mins domination we will already secure the winner and dont even give the opponent chances

Lol. He literally set us to be proactive and dominate the game for 75 minutes. It sucks we couldn’t capitalize and finish our chances, but it is what it is. We sucked ass in the last 15 minutes and mentally collapsed. Sure, he could have made the subs earlier or subbed on some untested youngsters, I agree with that, but we hardly played a “reactive” match today. Only the subs were reactive.

The fact you bring up Dybala who came on and played like an unfit mentally weak pussy is hilarious. If you wanna bash Allegri, bash your little boy crush too, bro.
Yes Bro. In the first half, we were solid and should've gone in 2-0 up @ HT. What happened in the 2nd half? Also, what happened in the first leg? We had a great opportunity and we wasted it. Dybala played for 12 minutes. Were you expecting him to part the seas like Moses or resurrect the other dead players a la Jesus?

Anyway, this season has been a 5 in terms of results and a 3 in terms of performances. If we don't improve next season, winning at least one trophy, finishing top 2, and reaching at least the CL QFs, arriverderci EuroMaxx :howler:  :b81:

No more humiliation and embarrassment ffs!

I expect more than you from next season lol. It’s scudetto and CL QFs or bust. Enough failing. The league title is required. And enough with the mental fragility. This team has become more and more of a bunch of pussies who collapse at the first sign of adversity the past three-four years. If Allegri can’t fix that and get us performing next year, see ya.

And regarding Dybala, I expect a guy who wants to be one of the highest paid players in the game, and who you claim is a world class player and our best player to have more than 1 goal - 0 assists in our last 18 CL knockout matches (he’s appeared in 13 of them). If you are going to have standards at least hold the soyboi to those standards too. I’ll always be fan because of what he does in the league and his history, but his CL knockout record is embarrassingly bad since that Barca brace in 2017 and a big part of why we keep failing. I expect the Rabiots and Arthurs of the world to suck, I expect better from Dybala and he hasn’t offered that.

I agree about Dybala needing to do more. He also needs to be available. He has improved his attitude this season, so there's hope, whether it's here or elsewhere (preferably the former).

I am not going to expect the Scudetto next season, but it will be a pleasant surprise if we do win. I just want us to have a clear identity, bring back that grinta, and play without fear, unshackled if you will. I'm not saying deploy a strategy of reckless abandon, but we should be dominating more games and putting far more opponents to the sword. I expect caution against the likes of Liverpool, Bayern, Real, and City, but I can't accept pussy tactics against inferior opposition, whether that's in Serie A or Europe.

Sarri and Pirlo were fired after winning trophies, there is no other options for him now but to resign, i dont give a shit who will be interim coach, hire Italiano
No more Italianos, whether in name or nationality.

People forget that these types of games are decided by incidents. We played a great half and if our strikers had their scoring boots on we'd be leading by 2/3 goals at half-time. Unfortunately, they didn't and we paid a very heavy price with an avoidable penalty. It's a sport based on mental strength, something our team lacks. We went down and the team practically gave up. Shit like this happens and it just wasn't our night.

To those calling for his head, I'm genuinely curious to know who you would replace him with.

Corner vs. ajax, penalty vs. lyon, free kick vs. porto, 2! penalties and a corner kick vs. villarreal last night, that's definitely not a coincidence, this team lacks concentration, they lack the motivation to die on the field

My biggest issues with Max this year are two things

Refusing to give a player like Miretti a shot
Being too reactive with subs instead of proactive

In saying this

I don't think there is anything he can invent with this set of players, too many that are completely limited.

We lost Chiesa (our most dangerous player)
We lost Mckennie (our only mid that is capable of attacking the space bar Locatelli)

We want our team to play more attacking but who is that going to come from? Dybala is dead
Cuadrado and Loca are the only players capable of creating both for themselves and others but Loca is in a cage because the other mids are atrocious

I agree on us having good first 45, incredible how we did not score there. Second 45 were all horrible, we might have had the ball, but we didnt create shit, hell, we hardly attempted to create shit, everyone fell asleep including Allegri on the touchline. That type of toothless, lazy football is the one we have played countless times this season and it almost always ends bad. People in the live thread, commentators and even my wife saw that it was not going to end well, yet Allegri didnt change shit.

Id go easy on all the sack talk though, we need stability here. Id much rather see Allegri remain and given a midfielfer and a left wide player than go through another transitional season with whoever is availabke rn.

I definitely don’t think the first 30 minutes of the second half were good. They were pretty bleh. But Villarreal still created absolutely nothing and barely touched the ball. Even the penalty wasn’t a dumb mistake by Rugani (who otherwise had an excellent match) on something that wasn’t actually a scoring chance. I think we ran ourselves out of gas dominating the first half. And our bench lacked any quality (at least with regard to actually fit players with minutes in their legs) to change things. I don’t really know what the answer was after we failed to capitalize on all those first half chances. Allegri didn’t do a good job with his subs, too little, too late. But with what we had on the bench it was a tough spot to be in. Any subs made were a significant drop in quality (again with Dybala being half fit) and it’s not like we had high energy runners on the bench either.
