That team is precisely is an example of how you should not build your team. bunch of mediocre, aged players came for big money and left for free. it is the reason we went bankrupt. marotta's masterpiece. he is doing same for inter now. apart from 4-5 players, it is a group of mediocre and old people. they will fall hard.
even real fell hard after ronaldo left. the only team that doesn't seem to fall is bayern, but they have an unmatched monopoly on their league.

running a football team is actually pretty hard, and while not perfect, marotta is way better at it than anyone we had or competed against post-moggi.

as for cardiff, half of that team should have been sold after that defeat, and if there was one single right time to fire allegri, then that could have been a good moment. that's what moggi probably would have done. still, that team was sustainable and miles ahead of our current load of overpaid, underperforming nobodies.

Barella, Lautaro, Bastoni, to name a few of them old mediocre farts. They doing terrible. I almost pity them :agree:

We are Tici's (and AA's) masterpiece, not Marotta's.

you just named the part ''apart from 4-5 players''. now go name how many over 30, has been farts are in the squad.
they have 10 over 30 players, and only 3 (dzeko, sanchez and darmian) have contracts beyond this summer, 7 will expire in a couple of months. dzeko's and sanchez's contracts will expire next summer, only darmian has a contract until '24. hardly a glaring issue. the core of their squad (beyond those mentioned by dai: skriniar, de vrij, brozovic, calhanoglu; that's 7 starters) are well below 30. their squad is unfortunately stronger and better sustainable than ours.

for comparison: we have 9 over 30 players, only cuadrado's will expire this summer.

Well, go ahead and name the old has been farts.

Has been means bad/over the hill for me btw. Just beause a player is older doesn't mean he's a has been fart, but you do you.

Dzeko for example was a great low cost Lukaku replacement together with Correa.

Are you actually trying to bring facts into a discussion with Turk?

Good luck with that.

We need Dybala for Serie A. No one cares for Supercup. With Chiesa out, Dybala struggling with fitness, it makes sense to preserve him for more important competition.
Yes all true, then why the fuck play him at all and risk it anyway? Why not play the youngsters like Jorge (and pellegrini for that matter) let them get experience/confidence. Either we care for the cup or we don't. (I don't) but If you know there is a potential you will risk and play him, your only creative attacker out of desperation, he needs to start, if not leave him on bench and play the young ones.

The thing is they won't able afford 7 new players and they will be replaced with more turds. because they don't have money and all the players need to be replaced will be leaving for free. along with dotards, they also have shits like gagliardini and vecino who are even worse than what we have. if we had to replace lukaku, eriksen and hakimi with dzekosaur, calhanoglu and dumbfry, guy who is responsible with transfers would have been crucified here.

That's whishful thinking and you know it. They will be fine financially after a proper CL campaign and a couple of domestic titles.

Inter Forwards List :Lautaro,Dzeko,Sanchez,Correa.
Juve Forwards List:Morata,Dybala,Kean,Kaio
We wouldn't say the same 2 season ago. Dzeko and Sanchez is Marotta masterpiece, they came for free. We could get Dzeko if we choose not to extend Morata loan. Sanchez has injury issue in Man Utd with high wages back then. Correa is replacement for Lukaku. We pick Kean for Ronaldo replacement, and Kean has a good season last season he played with us. He even have kind of scoring streak for us back then

Brozovic, Perisic and Skriniar will be (or already are) asking for big player contracts so that is another expense comimg up. First two could even leave. Not saying Inter will collapse but I cant see them spending more that Juve in next few years.

Not rubbing it in, but has Inzaghi’s opinion around these parts improved or remained the same after half a year with Inter?

I think there was some legitimate concern if he could manage a side competing for titles unlike Lazio but he seems to be proving that he can. That too, with a weaker Inter side than last year.

One day, Turin bound perhaps.
