So if Paratici pulls this off is it a great move because we traded an unused benatia (for an admittedly lesser yet more versatile player) and used the funds to sign Ramrod or is it a chump move cause benatia wanted out, he caved and ramrod is not SMS?
We replace this season's 4th option in central defense with another guy who we'll get something like 3-5 matches in Coppa and Serie A. We get 10 million from Benatia's exit, save money by not paying his wage, pay peanuts to Caceres and invest that money into a top class defender in the summer. It's all totally logical unless you expect Sergio Ramos to arrive to Turin in Jan.

I had thought the plan was to win CL in the short term hence bonucci, ronaldo acquisitions. It only makes sense then if we use that saved money to buy a midfielder in january
Given that it's a short term move it's not bad. Minimal expenditure and I can't imagine caceres will play all that much anyways. Besides we have Rugani ahead of caceres we will be fine. Just disappointed that benatia couldn't wait a few months to go to fucking Qatar of all places.
At least from an economic point of view it's caceres and not darmian
