There's no hard rule about it, the same numbers mean different things in places.
Take the number 13 in Germany it's renowned for being a out and out goalscorers such as gerd mullet whilst in Holland it is more appropriated to the hounding midfielder Johan Neeskens. Same as what no5 means in Germany, England and Argentina. All different things.
well can't argue with that...i was teached about the numbers many many years ago by my football coach..things are different now.

The 4 suits every position in defense, that's why it's perfect for him. Not to mention his legendary compatriot used to rock it as well ;)
:tuttosport:

He is the new Montero.

And I don't like how we hand our the numbers these days. :p To me it always has to be like this.
1 Goalkeeper
2 Right back
3 Left back
4 CB
5 CB
6 (Defensive) CM
7 Right midfielder
8 Left midfielder
9 Striker
10 Striker
11 (Offensive) CM

Teams hand our their numbers wrong these days... :disagree:
:seven:

Now let's wait until end of season and examine if we will need a new WC on left back and use Caceres as cover up for all defensive positions or if he's good enough to be a starter next year. Will be interesting! I just hope he has improved since he was here last time, he was alright and his head was in the right place but a lot of times his body wasn't (bad positioning). His offensive skills was really poor too, IMHO. But welcome Martin I wish you the best of luck!

Edit: Is Conte aiming to transform Caceres to our new Paramatti? JK I meant Torricelli ofc. :)

Its interesting though. How we in a year and a half went from not wanting him to wanting him back. How much did Barca ask of us in the summer of 2010 and what are we paying now?
