Yea but if i had the option why would i refuse double or triple what 30m offers me? Im not talking about the quality of life here, im talking about way more than that. Some people are just greedy and I'm definitely a greedy fucker when it comes to a subject like that.
Because my reputation and career would improve greatly if I went to Juventus. I could be a fucking legend. Man, just for the pride of it all alone.. You don't get that? Being able to call yourself a Juventus player.. Something you have worked for for 28 years, something you know almost no one will ever be able to.. And I'd still get paid millions. And I'm already incredibly rich.

So no, to me this is pure greed at its worst. A completely incomprehensible and imo retarded choice.

I don't hate him for it at all. But it was a very poor choice. And there are other things in life than a big salary. The fact you even bring up the words 'net worth' tells me all I need to know tbh.
Hey man, if it was me, I would choose Juve. But I'm a Juve fan... Witsel is not.

"Reputation" clearly doesn't matter to him as much as it does to you. Maybe he doesn't even like football that much And doesn't care about being a legend. Guess he's not as egotistical as you :D

Get off your high horse :p

That's my point, it all depends on the person and his ambitions/goals.

Obviously he likes football. Otherwise he wouldn't have been playing it as a kid. No one paid him millions when he was 5.

What bothers me about this sort of stuff is not Witsel. It's a society thinking that this is a completely understandable and even smart choice to make. It's not. It's sickening and disgusting.

He's getting quite shafted in Belgian media tbh.

And i'm getting a shitton of likes on every facebook article where i mention 'as a juve fan i'm very happy about his decision'

He's not a kid anymore... people change.

And no, you just think playing for Juve and living in Italy is so wonderful. Not everyone thinks so.

And you don't know what he plans to do with his money. If he's buying more Bentleys and yachts or whatever, I would agree with you. But if he's looking out for his friends and family, people from his old neighbourhood, etc. then that's lovely.

In Belgium his reputation is ruined. The people who say they understand his choice will also be the people who say he can't play for Belgium anymore, because he's not playing in a decent league. At the very least no one will remember his career in 20 years time. Zenit was already a poor choice in that regard, now it's game over for him really.

Lol. He's not. And if he is, he could already be doing so anyway. Because that's what 30m already buys you.

Oh, and for the record: living in Italy is nice, but I would never choose Turin.

A great scholarship in best schools around the world for each kid it would cost almost a million if u include Post-grade and a couple of languages so if u make 20m in your entire profesional career you are gonna have to choose which one of your kids deserve It most

Now if u make 100m you could send even your mistress's kids. Thats a huge difference
If Witsel's kids are any where as stupid as their father then they have n hope regardless of education and school

Your scenario is ridiculously unlikely.

As if Witsel is seriously considering buying Harvard a new library so his son can go study there.
Maybe he wants to go there himself, and god knows how many years and money he needs to get a degree, considerings his sporting decitions.

You do understand that Witsel is a European. What does "imagination when it comes to money" even mean?
I was really just teasing Seven. But people are asking if you have $8m, then what difference will $30 million make. That's pretty silly imo.

No, they wouldn't have. And even if they did, that just shows you how messed up society is.
No, it's not society. It's human nature.
