can you blame him?

look at barca signing past 3 seasons

dembele 100m+ failed
coutinho 100m+ failed
griezman 100m+ failed

not to mention all their other signings in recent times like

Arda Turan 40m
Andre Gomes 40m
Zalatan 45m + etoo (so about 90 million total)
aleix Vidal 15m
Paulinho 40M
Alcacer 35 M
Semedo 40m
Malcom 45m
Neto 28 m
Briawaithe 20 m

they are the worst managed club in top football. people here think marotta and paratici wasted money, but we are spoiled because of the good deals they made. simply if we had just half of these signings fail like they did for barca, there would epic meltdowns here.
Yup by some distance also. The club has had one of the worst spending sprees ever in history when considering actual progress made with it. Terribly managed club. And offcorse they dont want Messi to leave, without him they lose half their fanbase and return to their former mediocre state.

I agree that Messi isnt showing great character and should never be captain of a team, but i really dont blame him for wanting to get out of that shithole of a club

I understand that he wants out, but it doesn't remove the fact that he's a massive whiner. It's not the first time where he wanna quit and ends up staying, he did the same with his national team lol.

Not to forget how shit of a captain he is. He is a fantastic player and one of the best to ever play the game, but at the same time is he one of the worst captains you can find. Never understod why he was wearing the armband as it's not him.

Guess he just got too much to say.

Knew it was too good to be true. Will be interesting to see if this has any impact on him psychologically throughout the season. Keeping a player behind against his will is never a good idea.
Now all we need to do is terminate Suarez's contract next year and make way for the GOAT as a guaranteed free agent :p

Not many good things are going on now for the humanity and even less on a horizon. But Messi retiring, Barca drifting back in obscurity and more-than-a-club wankers dispersing to their holes is one thing we all should definitely look for, one thing that should unite all crowds, races, and occupations.
