I just like it that way, btw. It's like having someone who always defend you against "what they call a common enemy" and right away can be stabbed in the back just for being themselves
I think the best job that Apple did is deluding their boys.
Another reason putting the buttons on the left-hand side is stupid is because the File, Edit etc menus are there, and a slip of the mouse could have you accidentally closing the window instead of accessing the menu.

First impressions:
- desktop looks almost entirely unchanged, which means nothing stopped working: GOOD
- fonts look sharper
- firefox more responsive/quicker
- konqueror (file manager) equally sluggish
I'm a KDE man through and through. Normally prefer to install Ubuntu first then slap KDE on top, but this time around, I did a Kubuntu install. Right from the beta. Been apt-upgrading since, and I'm loving it...
