Is there anything that's more attention seeking than marketing? Incidentally, Apple's single strongest competency? :D
:lol:

good thought :p

I just like it that way, btw. It's like having someone who always defend you against "what they call a common enemy" and right away can be stabbed in the back just for being themselves :p

I think the best job that Apple did is deluding their boys.

sup fellaz..

$ osdetect
Platform: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic i686 ~ Ubuntu 10.04 lucid
(osdetect here)

First impressions:
- desktop looks almost entirely unchanged, which means nothing stopped working: GOOD
- fonts look sharper
- firefox more responsive/quicker
- konqueror (file manager) equally sluggish

EDIT: firefox A LOT more responsive (3.6.3)

I'm a KDE man through and through. Normally prefer to install Ubuntu first then slap KDE on top, but this time around, I did a Kubuntu install. Right from the beta. Been apt-upgrading since, and I'm loving it...

You forgot to mention the boot-up and shutdown times... 10 seconds for boot, 3 seconds from shutdown command to silent fan :shocked:

Though you probably never shut down and all, I know I know :)

Yeah, I don't notice boot times very much because I use suspend instead of turning it off.
