Martin seems to already have recommended DSL, I would also give Puppy Linux a try...

i run mostly windows cause it's the only os here at work. but home i use ubuntu as much as i can and i love it, but every now and then, out of necessity like mikhail said, i have to boot into windows for various reasons.
so to be fair windows is still my primary os.

Your such a dork! Luckily birds of a feather flock together.:D Ive never bothered trying linux although most of my former colleagues used to rave & rant about it.

Is it really that much superior to windows?

can you say geek? :D
my main problem on eradicating windoze from home is the fact my 2nd disk(250gb) is almost full and it holds everything important(music, pictures, movies) and it's filesystem is.....NTFS. i know i can convert it to ext3 or fat or whichever, but it's just too much of a gamble to loose all that data.
