Hey man :D Arsenal ruining the mood in one of the very few months where we have good weather here, so not so good

Just been reading the Trump thread btw, keep up the good fight :p

I didn't sense any sarcasm in his post, I'm fairly sure he was being serious :p
:D

I will pray for more months of good weather for you. Arsenal, on the other, no such luck. :p

Ligue for me is like Portuguese league, u have to be really careful cuz stats and performance use to be tricky... They have some very amateur teams on it

I agree with the bolded statement :agree:

and yes, they are fun to watch. One of the things I like most about Ligue is how teams give youngsters chances and allow them to express themselves, you occasionally get to watch the Hazards, Pjanics, Carrasco's, Payets of this world really express themselves before they move on to bigger clubs.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Never underestimate Aulas's ability to keep players. If he can convince them that he means serious business by making signings like Depay, they might stay on a bit longer. Plus, Lyon as always have some really good youngsters coming up; Tousart in particular has looked very promising in that DM role. With Fekir slowly coming back to form as well, Lyon could be a really good prospect next season.

Another club that has an interesting long term project is Lille. They have a new owner now; he's brought in a couple of directors that have a lot of good contacts in European football, they have a long term project to make Lille like Monaco or Porto(a team with a wide reaching scouting network, that identifies talents quickly, gets them in cheap, and sells them in a few years for a lot more money); they've already agreed with Bielsa for him to coach the team next season.
Well if Lyon can win the Europa League maybe Aulas will be able to hold on. Though recently they have both come out and said that its time to leave. Though if they both leave i still expect Lyon to atleast compete for Europa.

Well with Lille signing Biesla they'll definitely be competing for the title for half a season :D

Thats true the bottom half is very poor compared to the other top leagues. However most Ligue 1 talents have panned out well in other leagues.

:agree: Sadly, he has EPL written all over him. Mbappe or Sanchez tho? :D
Sanchez. Mbappe is ridiculously good for his age and is probably a future Balon D'or contender but Sanchez just fits our team so perfectly.

out of the last 8 games, Monaco has only one derby left - away at Lyon. losing there and winning the remaining 7 games will be enough for them to secure the title. hopefully they dont choke elsewhere

How is Mr. Donarumma of France doing?

Also wondering how much do you think it will take to get:
1. Lemar
2. B.Silva
3. Fabinho

The last one isnt really a shining midfielder but he gets the job done

Why didnt Balotelli play?

P.S I watched his 3 reds of the season - 1 was a justified red after kicking and pulling a player that got the better of the situation
1 foul wouldnt even get a yellow in Serie A or anywhere else - Im not sure it was even a foul..
While the 3rd one I didnt really understand why he got the 2nd yellow as someone seemed to talk trash to him but I didnt see Balotelli respond.. Did I miss something?

Watched most of the monaco game. We all know how super they are at countering and first half was a delight to watch especially mbappes goal. They attacked mostly from the right hand side. Second half monaco showed their weakness in defending corners and lyon were back in. Jardim tactically subbed falcao for moutinho later in the game to hang on and to be honest they hanged on with ease which shows they can defend when needed but most of all they play with a high line. Infact they did the same against city.
Its probably the third or fourth time ive seen them play but like others have said they really are explosive for first 50-60 minutes and should have been 3 up by half time. They do have one way of playing which is advantageous to us so hopefully we got this.
