It would be a tragedy if they dont end up winning the league and lose to City. Such a fantastic team
Jardim has done a fantastic job. Definitely hope they win the Ligue 1 and beat Citeh, us vs Monaco would be an interesting final.

Monaco, PSG, Nice and improved versions of Lyon+Marsielle. Ligue 1 is going to have one a top quarter comparable to the other top 4 leagues in Europe next season.

The Ligue has been great this season, that is reflected by how well French teams are doing in Europe. The games have been of good quality, and you have the likes of Monaco and Nice competing with Psg this season. Of course Lyon are doing well too and Marseille with their new project look very promising.

The number of up and coming talented youngsters as well has been refreshing.

Btw @zizinho you asked me before about Bernardo Silva, i had my doubts then because hes never had a fully consistent season, but my god this season hes been fantastic. Absolute joy to watch, hes devastating on that right hand side.

i wanted him at Juve for a while, would suit our current 4231 well. but with Cuadrado already in the team, Berardi and Orsolini waiting for their chance, im not sure we would go for him. maybe if Dybala leaves...

Agree, though Lyon have been frustratingly inconsistent this season.

Very entertaining teams. I've always liked PSG (I know they're new money, but I still think they have class, unlike City for example) and Monaco is just fun to watch.

True but not surprising with their reliance on a base of young players.
Sucks for them that Lacazette and Tolisso are surely gone this season. However I expect Monaco, Nice, Marsielle, and PSG (obviously) to hold most of their big names.

Ligue 1 can seriously threaten Italy, England, and Germany for that spot of being the second best league in Europe.

I agree with the bolded statement :agree:

and yes, they are fun to watch. One of the things I like most about Ligue is how teams give youngsters chances and allow them to express themselves, you occasionally get to watch the Hazards, Pjanics, Carrasco's, Payets of this world really express themselves before they move on to bigger clubs.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Never underestimate Aulas's ability to keep players. If he can convince them that he means serious business by making signings like Depay, they might stay on a bit longer. Plus, Lyon as always have some really good youngsters coming up; Tousart in particular has looked very promising in that DM role. With Fekir slowly coming back to form as well, Lyon could be a really good prospect next season.

Another club that has an interesting long term project is Lille. They have a new owner now; he's brought in a couple of directors that have a lot of good contacts in European football, they have a long term project to make Lille like Monaco or Porto(a team with a wide reaching scouting network, that identifies talents quickly, gets them in cheap, and sells them in a few years for a lot more money); they've already agreed with Bielsa for him to coach the team next season.

Dunno if you're being sarcastic or not. :D

But I actually agree with that comment (bar that I like PSG much), but I'll add how I like Marsielle and they were my fav team in Frace. I spent almost two seasons watching them a couple of years ago and I loved them. Lyon is also great while Lille was also very fun to watch.

If I were to pick I'd honestly say I'd watch Serie A (only Juve) and my other league would be Ligue 1 to follow. I like their style and it reminds of Italian. Too bad I don't have much time, but I really think Ligue 1 is underrated.

Fred is back

How's the rich white collar life of an Arsenal fan, my dear Frederick?
Hey man :D Arsenal ruining the mood in one of the very few months where we have good weather here, so not so good

Just been reading the Trump thread btw, keep up the good fight :p

I didn't sense any sarcasm in his post, I'm fairly sure he was being serious :p
