Just watched the highlights

I have barely watched Real Madrid this season but from few the games i've seen it is ridiculous how many times I have seen two things, Benzema hitting the post or a Real defender intentionally blocking a certain goal with their hand. At least it was caught and appropriately punished this team

But they seem to have compromised about “the right way to play” this season. That alone changes a lot. Messi aren’t starting every game either. Him starting used to be a given even when they were qualified. But February is when form matters. We’ll see.
