I'll go against the grain, I love him on the left and I feel so confident seeing him in the lineup.
Best out of a bad bunch I suppose. But it's not his natural position & most times than not you can see that. He's done alright. Nothing special unlike what Licht brings on the opposite side.

Well in November he had an assist against Inter.

And an assist in the Champions League against Chelsea. When he was raping Ivanovic over and over.

And he scored against Pescara.

But anyways, continue.
Offside goal in the first 5 minutes and got a real beating afterwards.

Nice goal against Pescara but he could have got that too playing in his position.

I shall continue.

And rightly so, considering he's playing as a wing back and we already have Litchtsteiner on the other side, who has similar characteristics to him, but obviously better.

when Asamoah was at AFON - omg omg we need him back our left side is so bad defensively without him all we have is PDC and the Epiotme, they are both useless

now that he is back - drop him and put peluso at lwb he is so much better in attack we need him

He's a one trick pony in attack as a wingback. Sooner or later he's going to be found out in offense a la Krasic. Also loses the ball quite a bit, but makes up for it with his energy by getting back soon enough. Ideally he should be playing his natural position, but I'd still go with him over Peluso at the moment. Even though I think Peluso crosses better.

Also in all competitions:

Asamoah - 3 goals, 5 assists
Lichsteiner - 4 goals, 1 assist

Asamoah missed a month.

Also, I'm literally just going by the first LB/LWB that pops into my head so list is incomplete and I'm so confident Asamoah is tops I won't even edit as I type:

Cole - 1 goal, 4 assists
Kolarov - 3 goals, 1 assist
Clichy - 1 assist
Marcelo - 1 goal (hurt). Last year 3 goals, 8 assists all year.
Coentrao - 1 goal, 1 assist
Alba - 3 goals, 5 assists
Filipe - 2 goals, 2 assists
Alaba - 4 goals, 2 assists (and he takes penalties)

OMG BAINES - 5 goals, 6 assists. Free kick master.

That's enough, whatever.

Conclusion: Asamoah loses the ball sometimes against packed defenses. SELL.

Edit: I forgot Zuniga and Armero. 3 assists combined. Zuniga 4 goals 4 assists in the last THREE YEARS combined.

I'd say he's already figured out. It's just that he's so damn fast that sometimes he manages to take over his opponent.
