Also in all competitions:

Asamoah - 3 goals, 5 assists
Lichsteiner - 4 goals, 1 assist

Asamoah missed a month.

Also, I'm literally just going by the first LB/LWB that pops into my head so list is incomplete and I'm so confident Asamoah is tops I won't even edit as I type:

Cole - 1 goal, 4 assists
Kolarov - 3 goals, 1 assist
Clichy - 1 assist
Marcelo - 1 goal (hurt). Last year 3 goals, 8 assists all year.
Coentrao - 1 goal, 1 assist
Alba - 3 goals, 5 assists
Filipe - 2 goals, 2 assists
Alaba - 4 goals, 2 assists (and he takes penalties)

OMG BAINES - 5 goals, 6 assists. Free kick master.

That's enough, whatever.

Conclusion: Asamoah loses the ball sometimes against packed defenses. SELL.

Edit: I forgot Zuniga and Armero. 3 assists combined. Zuniga 4 goals 4 assists in the last THREE YEARS combined.
add to that:
Serie A:
Lulic - 1 goal,4 assists
Constant-0 goals,2 assists
Pasqual-2 goals,4 assists
Balzaretti-0 goals,2 assists
Nagatomo-1 goal,3 assists
Zuniga & Armero- no goals both!only 2 assists combined.

La Liga:
Aly Cissokho-2 goals,no assists.
Adriano-5 goals,2 assists - (but only 2 goals and 1 assists while playing on left)

EPL:
Evra-4 goals,5 assists.
Gibbs-0 goals,3 assists.
Baines - 2 goals from his 5 scored from PK.1 own goal as well.
Enrique(pool)-2 goals,3 assists.
Santon-0 goals,2 assists.

Ligue 1:
Maxwell-2 goals,4 assists.

Bayern's Alaba also scored 1 pk.

Wow....even while playing not in his natural position and being the best crosser,he's still one of the best in goals/assist in that position.

Evra is having a good season. Having a class player like RVP in the centre means that his crosses are being met and finished more regularly. With regards to his goals, he has scored at least 2 from corners.

That being said, I don't think these stats can be compared, as the teams which are playing 4 at the back (Utd, Milan etc), the left back whose stats you wrote down, play further down the pitch, while Asamoah plays as LWB, and stays slightly higher up the field, so while they are on the same side, I don't think you can really compare anyone in that list bar a couple with Kwadwo

He is by far the best signing from last summer. Hope we keep him at LWB, with Peluso being his backup and focus all our funds on getting a proper SS.

Asamoah is like Vidal in the sense that he will never stop running and constantly try to defend. I personally get very pissed with him because he isnt that affective on the left but we all know that, lwb isnt his position. But for him to already have 2 goals and what 3 assists? thats amazing for a defensive minded player

 Knee jerking at its finest. We pick up some journeyman from Atalanta who has a couple of solid games, and Asamoah is no longer flavor of the month.

He is obviously out of sync with the squad; he just needs confidence and continuity to return to beast mode.
