I know this may seem unfair, but he's the sporting director so he's to blame if our campaign falls apart. Even if nobody could have done any better..
He is not to blame. The previous managment is to blame that landed us where we are.Had it not been for them, then we would be able to compete with the likes of Manchester United,Arsenal etc with big name signings right now.But we cant do that right now because even though we are in line for promotion,we will not be in europe next season, and players like Huntelaar would want to play for a club that can challenge for trophies instantly. We wont be able to do that instantly. It will take a couple of years before we are at our best again.

One thing good about Hunter is that he's not played in the CL yet, so therefore he wouldn't demand it immediately, where someone like Eto'o (just an example) would demand CL football straight up.

I agree but all I'm saying is if he don't make a impact his year he'll take the blame and will be fired. Juventus is big business and the Juve management wants instant results next year. So if Secco fails this summer no matter what the reason for this would be, you can be sure he wont be here next year.

But I still have faith in Secco :pint:

and hence Secco wouldn't be here.

We are talking about a whole new campaign, now Secco is responsible to get the best players we could get.The options are looking pretty good atm imo, so i have a certain level of expectations from Secco. Nothing massive, but we need players that would make a difference next year and players for the long run

i trust secco, i think he nows what he is doing, even moggi wont announce the arrival of any player at this time of the year it just harm the team spirit. so i dont think that any player capture will be announced until the summer

bloody hell we havent been promoted yet, the transfer window is months off and people are begging for the confirmation of transfers?? NO CHANCE!

Secco's job is hard, he has to persuade players who could move to a title winning sides that play cl football to move to a relitively unstable club that has just been promoted, there are not a lot of players that will commit, ESPECIALLY if our serie A status is not a mathematical certainty. Give the guy time he knows what hes doing and the players we have been linked with have all been impressive, we've got 4 months to wait to see our new squad so lets just wait and stop talking about him being fired if he doesnt deliver, he cant buy players who dont want to come

I think it's only fair that people, myself included are kinda unsure about him. Last summer he had a hard time and it's not fair to judge him on that, but he did admit that selling Mutu was a mistake, and he did buy Boumsong...
Now I totally agree that we got to have faith in him, but this summers transfer market is gonna so incredible important because we have to bring in so many new players, and convince some of our current players that they should stay.
This summers campaign is so crucial for our beloved club, so I think I'm right to be a little bit nervous since its in the hands of a "rookie". And trust me he'll be fired if it goes wrong, look at the pressure the board are putting on him and DD.

But of course I have faith in him, we simply have to.. :agree:

Ajax raise Huntelaar price Friday 30 March, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Italian clubs keen on Klaas Jan Huntelaar will have to dig deep after Ajax increased their asking price for the striker.

The 23-year-old forward was initially valued at £10m, but that fee will be surpassed given the interest in the sensation’s services.

“I believe that Ajax will increase their request for Huntelaar,” said agent Vincenzo Morabito as rumours linking Inter and Juventus with the starlet gather pace.

“After all, Liverpool had to pay £12m for Dirk Kuyt last summer…”

Huntelaar, one of Holland’s brightest prospects for the future, is now expected to go for something close to £14m – even if he’s now just focusing on the end of the season.

“Ajax are fighting for the Dutch title, therefore we will not discuss any move before June,” continued Morabito.

“The recent win over PSV Eindhoven has put the club back in the race and it is important that all players just focus on playing.”

Huntelaar has already scored 27 times this term in the Dutch League, having netted 33 goals last season.
Damn

Either way we should pay the fee
