Ajax raise Huntelaar price Friday 30 March, 2007

Italian clubs keen on Klaas Jan Huntelaar will have to dig deep after Ajax increased their asking price for the striker.
The 23-year-old forward was initially valued at £10m, but that fee will be surpassed given the interest in the sensation’s services.
“I believe that Ajax will increase their request for Huntelaar,” said agent Vincenzo Morabito as rumours linking Inter and Juventus with the starlet gather pace.
“After all, Liverpool had to pay £12m for Dirk Kuyt last summer…”
Huntelaar, one of Holland’s brightest prospects for the future, is now expected to go for something close to £14m – even if he’s now just focusing on the end of the season.
“Ajax are fighting for the Dutch title, therefore we will not discuss any move before June,” continued Morabito.
“The recent win over PSV Eindhoven has put the club back in the race and it is important that all players just focus on playing.”
Huntelaar has already scored 27 times this term in the Dutch League, having netted 33 goals last season.
