So when we have a full squad back, will he start?
Well, if he keeps playing like this, it will be hard to leave him out of the team.

What should be absolutely clear, though, is that Allegri really rates him and intends to use him in the first team whenever possible this season. When you give an 18 year old player his debut in the season opener, a match where Allegri in fact had a lot to lose (it doesn't take many games of bad results at a big club for the fans to get on the coach's back), you obviously trust (and rate) that player alot.

Will definitely not be loaned out or kept rotting on the bench!

In layman's terms: this ain't no Joe Vinco.

I agree. But we did have a few injuries and sickness hindering fitness, so it will be interesting to see how Coman can shake things up with the more established players in attack.

Also interesting to see how he might compare with Iturbe at Roma.

Exciting young player i can see him forcing his way into the first 11 just as Pogba did. Maybe wont be a regular starter untill next year but if he can keep fit an keep up the good performances he will get plenty of playing time. Was suprised to see him hold up the ball and take that header as good as he did.

Calm your horses. He is obviously talented, but there were plenty of mistakes today. His movement seemed awkward at times, gave away possession too easily and had long spells where he was nowhere to be found. Huge talent, but very rough still.

He looks like the complete package. I was afraid he could be more of a unidimensional explosive dribbling winger.

But he is showing good intelligence and great maturity for his age. Good decision making. Clever movement off the ball. Good fundamentals - passing and shooting with both feet, something vital for a player to be great nowadays. Decent vision, plus his explosiveness.

It's very hard yet to judge his potential, but it couldn't start much better than this. He was our most dangerous player while he was on the pitch.

True that, but such a debut definitely warrants some excitement.

I believe your confusing him with Marchisio.
