Actually I don't think we do. We have 5 CMs for two positions, another CM is a luxury option to allow switching to three man midfield when Allegri wants to.

Oh yeah, I forgot you guys got Matuidi. But who else do you have besides Marchiso, Pjanic, and Khedira? Marchisio and Khedira always seem a slip in the show from an injury.

Because we would essentially signing a 6th CM when our main formation asks for 2? Unless somehow the CL loss convinced Allegri he must play 3 CMs to get the big ears.

I don't think there would be much point to selling Khedira. I doubt we would get much money for him, better just to keep him around as an option.

Stu very much could be sold and Bentancur loaned though.
