It closed down at the end of May 2005, I don't remember exactly why, I think it was because the company who owned the server didn't want to host it anymore, 'cause it had too much trafic.
From the ruins of that forum at the beginning of June 2005 was born j1897 and also this forum has faced some server problems, at the beginning because it had been created in just a few days, later because of its ever growing popularity. From the less than 3000 users of April 2006, they've reached 10.000 in September. To keep on with this they've moved from server to server over the summer and adopted some measures not to worsen the problem (limited choice of avatars, limited kb size of the signatures, threads deleted after a week of inactivity and so on).
