Was Zambrotta injured?
Up untill the substitution I thought he was Juve's best player.
Once he went off the shape of the team changed and Barca seemed to come into the match more.

Overall I thought Juve lacked imagination and forward momentum.
Zambrotta's forward surges were the main threat to Barca in the first half.
I expected Juve to press more in the second half...but the opposite happened.

However, I think we'll score in Spain and still make it through...I hope.

yes lippi made some BAD decisions.

why bring on birindelli for tudor? why not have brought on zalayeta then instead of sacrificing zambrotta who was having such a good game...i hope this has silenced the critics.

tachi also had a very good game, man of the match.

well hopefully we will have a full strength side in 2 weeks...and we will go all out for a win, as only a win will do.

i still believe we can do this.

well, i am a bit disappointed with our performance, espacially in the second half. we should have pushed forward more often, instead we let barca enter the game.

saviola's goal was a joke really. di vaio missing this chance is nothing but a shame.

i think that we can still go through, but it will be difficult, with barca still unbeaten at home in the cl.

forza juve per sempre!!

btw, roverbhoy, nice to see ya. ;)

oh yea, i too thought that zambrotta was one of our better players. can't fingure out why lippi chose to take him out. maybe he was tired or something...

a 0-0 draw and a loss would kick us out.
but a win or any draw more than 1-1 would also put us threw.

we drew 2-2 with depor when they were playing well (barely!)
so i dont think it's too impossible.
juve just needs to be at it's best.

Honestly, i thought Barca would give us more problems today.
either Antic delibrately was playing defensive so they could kill us off the nesxt game, or Barca isn't such a tough team after all.

I would say Tacchi and Zambrotta were our best players. It was shameful that Lippi brought on Birindelli when were only 1-0 up, that's the sort of management I expect from Trap!

Well, I must say Lippi could have done better. First of all, we should have started with 2 forwards(DP and DV/Za) and then he subtitute Zambrotta( the best player of the evening along with Tachinardi).

Our chance to go to the next round is less then 20% because we have to make goal there and this is not our speciality!

You know, I don't like to say this but I thought Davids didn't really contribute enough in this match. He did a lot of running about, but failed to impose himself in midfield. This led to the lack of service to the forwards. I was relying on him being the dominant force for Juve, pressing forward and terrorising Barca's holding midfielders. Didn't happen:down:
As for Saviola's goal I can't blame Buffon for this in any way. The ball must have taken four deflections before it pinged out towards goal. Just bad luck.
Di Viao should have at least made the goalkeeper work:confused:

Well, I saw the game, and I have to say that our first half wasn't that bad! Really, but Lippi shoudl not have taken out Tudor and Zambo! Tudor was a rock in the mid! Very impressive to me, as he played like Jan Koller, just in midfield!
Zambo did so nice on the left! Specially the pass, when DP made a back-flip (or something like this)!
We can just pray that Trez will recover for Barca, and we will field in the 4-3-1-2! DP was great IMO! Some actions were briliant, some were trashy, but he missed Trez! Trez and DP! A deadly duo! If we can field them together in attack, and Neddy behind them, we have a chance! Otherwise we are out!

But hey, the chances are 50:50! Who said that we can't score a goal, on our first attack, like Barca did???? We are not out yet!

Btw, who said that Camo was bad????? He played a great game! One of the best player! Sometimes, he ran past 2 or 3 midfielders! This guy is perfect!

Max: You are right! The Saviola goal was a bad joke!
Wahnsinn, der ORF überträgt ein Juve-Spile live! Das wir das noch erleben dürfen, was Maxi????
Wieso warst nicht beim Treffen???????

Can someone explain to me how the quarterfinals work. With the first game being tied 1 -1, what outcome would get us to the next round. Explain all the technical stuff i.e. what are away goals worth and so on? Thanks

We have nothing to lose anymore so lets play some attacking football. If I watch the macht between Real and ManU then I have to say that Juve should much more better than tonight otherwise forget CL and lets focus on serie A.
I am really disapointed in Juve

phoenix if the aggregate goals are the same both ways, the team with the more away goals wins

eg

if we draw 1-1 at home and 3-3 away we go thru because we scored 3 away goals and they scored only 1.
