It was used quite a lot in 90's, especially by Capello and Arrigo Sacchi. Just because not too many managers use it nowadays doesn't mean it won't work or is somehow "forbidden."
In the 90´s yes, but then Serie A was the NBA of football, times have changed, my friend.

Its kind of that formation Roma plays with right?..

I hope DD will build a team (next season) around that formation.. 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 something like that...
Roma has a surplus of midfielders though. They don't really have a striker. The one they did have, Montella, was loaned out. When he did play, he didn't seem to fit in & I think that's due to the formation. It works for them, but I'm not sure it would work out with Juve.
