Bologna idiots have just started to prepare for their match against Juve...

Although the match will be on 19th December, the Bologna fans have prepared their anti-juve steps, and one of them is that they will get in the stadium after 15 minutes of the match...

Eight month ban for Sculli
Tuesday 28 November, 2006
Giuseppe Sculli’s season is already over after the Genoa striker was this evening banned for eight months.

The Serie B star has been suspended by the disciplinary commission with regard to a 2002 game between Crotone, for whom he played for at the time, and Messina.

A match-fixing probe was opened after the Peloritani’s 2-1 win after the emergence of some intercepted telephone calls.

Although Sculli was not found guilty of sporting fraud, he has been punished for a lesser offence.

The former Juventus player, who was facing the threat of a three and a half year ban, may now appeal.

Four other people in the case – Rocco Cotroneo, Leo Criaco, Nicola Salerno and Raffaele Vrenna – were all cleared.

Sounds like these Bologna fans have a lot of money and are stupid enough not to use their tickets.

Bologna President Alfredo Cazzola has called for action to be taken against referee Domenico Messina after last night’s 1-0 loss to Juventus.

The Emiliani were defeated at the Stadio Dall’Ara thanks to a phantom goal by Marcelo Zalayeta, who also seemed to handle the ball in the build up, and the Bologna chief believes it is now time for things to change.

“Stefano Tedeschi [the referee designator] must make himself heard and I expect him to take action in the next few hours,” said an infuriated Cazzola on Wednesday morning.

“I think we need a clear and firm intervention, we cannot accept this kind of situation as simple human error.

“Those who make these mistakes must not referee any more, or should at least be sidelined for a long time,” added the official.

“If any of us make a mistake we pay. We cannot allow what we are doing this year to be wasted by a referee who is unable to do his job.

“We are trying to create a new sense of trust around the team and this must continue.

“We will try to remain focused, we have a strong side who proved this on the pitch and we must not let this episode distract us. Serie A remains our objective,” concluded Cazzola.

Juve President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli accepted that his side were favoured, but insists that hasn’t always been the case this season.

“These incidents can always occur, sometimes favouring us and sometimes our opponents. I want to try to maintain a balanced attitude, even if we won an important match,” he stated.

“This is the same behaviour that I have always tried to keep, even when we were clearly penalised by similar situations in the past.”

ah shut up bologna quit ur bitchin', sounds like sour grapes to me. if bologna lost to sum1 else they wud of accepted it, its cuz we iz juve.

He shouldn´t have accepted this, Juventus is the victim of the whole Scandal, and Cobolli should react proudly and reject this kind of comments. What happened before hapenned before because of Moggi, it is not either player´s or new Board´s fault.

What will they do now? Throw us in Serie C?

Like we haven´t suffered enough. :(

Hasn't Gigli learned that instead of making statements detrimental to Juve, he should keep his mouth shut! It wasn't handball:it was a goal! We wouldn't get away with anything like that with messina as ref - he hates Juve & has done for years!

Di Vaio joins Genoa Monday 22 January, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marco Di Vaio has agreed to join Genoa after signing a two-and-a-half year contract with the Rossoblu.

The Monaco striker had confirmed in the past few weeks that he was keen on returning to Italy and had been paired with a move to Milan.

However, rumours over the weekend suggested that he had reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 side allowing him to switch to the Serie B outfit.

The player had left Valencia for Monaco just over a year ago on a loan deal, before penning a two-year contract last summer.

The former Parma and Juventus hitman scored three goals in 14 matches in the Principality this season, but was only included in the starting line-up on six occasions.

Capped 14 times by Italy, Di Vaio has also appeared for Salernitana, Bari, Lazio and Verona in the past, making his Serie A debut in 1994-95.

The 30-year-old is already in Genoa, where he will be unveiled to the Press on Monday afternoon.

The Grifoni, who signed Julio Cesar Dailey Leon from Reggina last week, are third in Serie B, one point behind Napoli and three shy of leaders Juventus.

Good signing for Genoa.

But not good enough for the first place. :p

TBH, I expected he would join a Serie A club...

Yeah, me too. Strange that there seems not to be a better team which wants to have him in their squad. Maybe they can make it to SerieA. And going to small teams is an opportunity for all "medium" stars to be teamleaders as we all know.
