Then Inter getting 20 is a good a thing. Its an indicator of what a perhaps third best Serie A teams gets offered from a company that has strong ties to the club.
If the pirelli ties to Inter were not as strong maybe they would have gotten 15 or something. That means that our sponsorship deal should be much higher since we are consistently the best team in Italy and we have potential to be a consistently well performing team in the CL.
What?

Inter is getting 10 mil/year for 5 years from Pirelli. Bonuses can take that up to 20mil, but to max out the bonuses means winning CL.

It's a 30% reduction on their previous deal with Pirelli.

I thought someone said we make 17 only?
Yeah someone said 10 mil with a raise to 20 mil if they qualify for CL... but I can't find that anywhere, most places just say bonuses for European sporting performance, and it seems to be the 20 mil would only be reached with a CL win. It looks like the sponsorship above 10 mil goes up incrementally for qualification, knockout rounds, and so forth.

As reported on Sky Sport 24 and announced by a press officer of Inter, it was reached an agreement between Inter and Pirelli to continue the sponsorship relationship for another 5 years. The figures reported by Sky are those noteD, with a few more details: five-year agreement for a little over 10 million per year with the inclusion of various bonuses. One linked to the Champions League qualification would lead to Inter between 4 and 5 million more, while that related to the qualification in the Europa League is the same as the previous contract. With the achievement of the highest bonuses the figure would double, reaching nearly 20 million. Parties are satisfied, lunch between Thohir and Tronchetti Provera went well.

van der meyde to El Ghazi:

“I was wrong to go to Inter, Italian football is too tactical. I wasn’t able to defend, but they forced me to do it.”
I don't get this, what is that suppose to mean? You're not complete enough of a player that to do both? It's too hard?

They forced him to be a teamplayer, we cant have that.

If you excell enough they will give you the freedom and role to fully express yourself, but if you run of the mill depressed winger, run your ass off.

I've always thought Dutch and Italian football doesn't overlap very well tactically, far better for them to go to England, Germany or Spain, generally speaking. Exceptional players will excel anywhere, like the great Dutch players in Serie A's strongest days. Sneijder also did it, he bought into the defensive switch that Mourinho required from his #10. Van der Meyde wasn't even that level. I like the look of De Vrij as a central defender, as another example. Nigel De Jong was also the type of a player who could fit well enough into a calcio DM destroyer role. Robben would obviously be a top player anywhere, but better where he has spent his career.

Having said that I think the way Fiorentina, Napoli or Allegri's Juve play the game would suit many types of more open, technical football. It's what you face on the receiving end which can be problematic, because in Italy a slow phase can change into something troublesome with one person out of position.

Van der meyde was more interesed in partying, drinking and sex back then. Ofcourse Italian football isn't a good idea for many Dutch players. Players like Willems, klaasen, bazoer would do well but the so called tricky and stylefull wingers like el ghazi, narsingh etc would be a big fail in italy. I was hoping jordy clasie went to fiorentina or lazio last summer
