Northern Italians are generally much more racist than Southern Italians though. Especially those from the Veneto and Lombardia regions, Lega Nord territory. So it's a bit unfair to tar all Italians under the racist brush.

Far from it. Italy has its problems as does any country. Arguably their biggest is racism. But Belgium, Denmark and the UK also have huge problems when it comes to racism (I'm not even going to mention the USA - which is far worse than Italy).
