yes, national squad is showing overall level of serie a, only verratti and thiago motta are players from foreign leagues and they are not defenders, i don't understand why you don't rate guys like Astori, he is 10 time better than any central brazilian defender expect those who are in the national team, but italians are always underdogs, on every tournament yet they won it periodically

People are aware that Serie A is far from the fame it had during the 90es, probably 3rd or 4th league in Europe atm, but still has quality players and in a few years they'll bounce back. Clubs are taking some important steps, building new stadiums will be crucial, and new TV deal will kick in in the meantime.

But you agreed with some guy claiming that Italy is a poor country, Juve poor club, now that is hilarious.
