Salary caps would increase a lot parity between clubs, it can be good like it can be bad. It would be more suspenseful but for a club like Juve, that would definitely be a bad thing. Not sure why a fan of a big club would be for those.

Noone outside Italy would have paid us good money for Marchisio until last summer. And even last summer, nobody would pay more than 20-25m eur for Claudio, which isn't enough to force a team like Juve to sell one of its most important players. Imagine Totti in his mid 20's and a foreign team offering 50m eur to this Roma. He'd be gone the same moment.

The thing is, a young Totti in this serie A would have most probably wanted to play in a better and richer league, for a competing club. When he was in his mid 20's Roma were winning the scudetto or fighting for it in the best and richest league in the world. It was easy to stay in his home town. Right now though...
