Amowri? Oh boy, he was tense and stressed as fuck, all he needed like many others was a change of scenery to reach his peak again. I reckon the same counts for Benzema :D

That's not what you were originally arguing. You were blaming him for taking the salary after not living up to it on the pitch. Not accepting a high salary because it's too high is anything but a free market principle, more like socialist.
No, I wasn't. I said saying the reason people were laughing was in part because he was paid as much as he was (is).

Bring in amuri back asap, and hang Marotta in the middle of the square to make an example of him for letting such talent go!

Hopefully he doesn't come back, the guy is a flop, and couldn't cut it at the big stage. Some players aren't made for big teams, they just can't handle the pressure of being under the lights and micro analyzed each game. He should stay in Parma or any other midtable team, where you won't get scrutnized for each little mistake. Mentally the guy is fragile, and midtable teams is where he belongs

Which isn't his fault.
But it was his choice. The choice was "take a big contract and people laughing at me if I suck" or "don't take it". Maybe he didn't realize that the laughing would happen, but if so he was naive.

Andy says he would have been demented not to take it (and I probably agree). Which means "his only choice" was to be laughed at, but then he was nicely compensated for it, so where is the problem?

So he shouldn't have take the risk? He shouldn't have believed that he would make it here?

I agree with Martin, if he asks/takes loads of cash, and if he earns all those chances given to him as a starting player, and if he blows that bad, yes we can blame the player for being horrible. He doesn't belong to Juve, he is proving it already..

He took the contract knowing full well that if he didn't even live up to his past numbers, then he would be criticized and ridiculed for it.

The BIGGER problem is the amount of the contract offered to him, considering his history. Past Accomplishments don't guarantee future success when signing contracts. But it was very disturbing that he couldn't achieve his past above-average numbers while at Juventus.

He'd be laughed at regardless of salary, so your point is void. This whole salary thing is just another attempt at deflecting criticism from the clowns that have run the club since Calciopoli.
