Nobody's doubting his obvious talent.
despite having un debatable talent requilme had the tendency to go missing when it really mattered thats my only problem with him. he also wasted his potential with playing for average teams for too long instead of going to a top team to reach his full potential ( apart from his one season in barfa)

The only average team he played for was Villarreal & that's taking it too far.:D He didn't make a major impact at barfa:lol:(nice one) but he was immense for the yellow submarines.

He had the platform to achieve great things but he was his own worst enemy.

Oh btw Larissa Riquelme > Juan Riquelme.

:D there is no doubt in my heart larissa riquelma>>>> juan riquelme

yeah i meant he spent a lot of time in villarreal instead of making it a jumping board to bigger things and i'm pretty sure he would've gotten huge offers from top teams if he had the intentions instead he spend time from 2003 to 2008 and then moved back to boca. his performances for villarreal where breath taking no doubt.

Let's hope Pastore does not choose to go to Barcelona he's too good for them. He's the potential to become bigger than Messi and Ronaldo, the kid is simply sensational.
He's nowhere near either Ronaldo or Messi. He's not even as good as Iniesta actually, not even close.

He never said that, he said he has the potential Fred.
Potentially my man.

I'm sorry, i should have made myself more clear.

I know you meant potentially, so did I. I meant that he doesn't have the ability to become as good as Ronaldo/Messi, and he doesn't have the ability to even come close to Iniesta. Not taking anything away from his potential though, i think he'll turn out to be a very good attacking midfielder.

Okay makes sense now. I don't agree that he'd reach their heights but you can't discount him coming close to Iniesta, given the right environment & people to support him.

he did you just missed it ;)
Not really. Didn't take note of his achievements at Boca but he really didn't win that much.

3 copa libs and singlehandedly beating the galacticos team in the intercontinental cup to win it, took a villareal side out of anonymity and lets not forget the 2006 WC where he made it click for the argies, their best team since 86.

I'm not down playing his ability, i'm merely stating that he didn't achieve half of the magic he should have. He's a fantastic player, truly phenomenal.
