its really inconsequential at this point. banning him won't matter because Inter is on fire right now and taking away one piece (for a few matches) won't cause the castle to crumble
On fire!

Did they thrash Milan?
Were they that much better?
Didn't Milan lose to a better team in Juve?

I haven't written off the scudetto yet.

It wasnt intentional, thats for sure, but Gila was suspended for handball goal (though more deliberate one), perhaps this will happen simply to be consistent for once.

Maicon is also fantastic offensively.
He scored 5 goals (4 in serie A, 1 in CL) and made 6 assists (5 in serie A, 1 in CL) this season. He's got the 3rd best record in serie A as far as crosses are concerned.

Without even thinking, i'll choose Maicon over Alves.
Me too. I don't think Alves is better offensively. Actually i think they are pretty close. But as an overall player Maicon is more balanced, stronger and a better defender than Alves. I'd choose Maicon without blinking an eye.

Banning him would be wrong. Yes, he scored with his hand. No, the goal should not have stood. But you cannot seriously expect a professional football player who is playing in a derby between Milan and Inter to not take the opportunity. You cannot want Adriano to apologise. Players cheat, but it's part of the game. That's why we have referees.

I don't get it. I've seen some people say it was unintentional and so there's nothing wrong with the goal. Why then suspend him? It's illogical. You can't punish for something that wasn't a breach of rules.

True. But it was intentional. If you go in for a header, your arm is normally not in that position.

It was done on purpose: and if nothing us done in cases like this, and diving that effect the result of games, then what's the point, I mean let's get a grip on those who cheat, punch, insult, and bring the game into disrepute.

But players cheat. It's their job.
