Real Madrid To Bid For Ibrahimovic - Report

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid are set to make a staggering €70m bid to sign Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic has long been admired by the Spanish champions, and there were strong reports that Juventus rejected a bid of exactly the same value during the Swede’s first season with them in 2004/05.

The Corriere says that Madrid are looking for a top-class centre forward for next season, and are ready to test Inter’s resolve by offering €70m. They would also be prepared to increase Ibrahimovic’s annual salary to €12m.

With the Nerazzurri already set to offload Hernan Crespo, David Suazo, and possibly Adriano, it seems unlikely at this stage that any bid from Madrid would be successful.

However Ibrahimovic’s dreadfully poor form in the second half of the season, in which he hasn’t scored in open play for three months, may make them sit up and listen.

The 26-year-old has also been struggling badly with a chronic knee injury, which has hampered his performances, and there have been reports that this problem may never clear up.

Ibra is out of tonight’s Coppa Italia semi-final tie with Lazio, and he is also a doubt for the weekend trip to Torino.

Please let that happen. Inter is not good for you, Zlatan. Nor for my fanboyism. It's been a tough couple of years for me.
but if leaves then they will have no strikers left unless they acquire new personnel. remember the rumors of crespo being released at seasons end, and adriano is still M.I.A. in sao paulo. they will need to re-up on forwards big time if they let this happen. plus he is too good of a talent to just let go IMO.

they could always get ronaldo to come back in the black & blue :p

No matter where he goes, people here will hate him.
Because, as you know, they don't hate him because he plays for Inter. Nor for the fact that he left us during Calciopoli. They hate him for something that was happening earlier.

Not all of them, though.

Word, I hate both of them because of that.
Anyway, they play awesome - no one can deny that CR is one of the best player in the world if he isn't the best right now - but as person they suck. Like Maradona; I love Diego he was the best of the pitch during his time. But as a person he really dissapoint me: arrogant, feeling like he is God (not in football, on the Earth), threat people like if they were shit, etc. I would really like to have the other Diego, the one who used to shine on the field, and not in the media.
