It's not really hypocrisy because there are three seperate issues of qualification. I'm sure I've said to you before that I'm not a fan of players being able to 'earn' a call up to another national team because they can't get in their own, or even be paid to do it! If a guy like some of the Dutch-Moroccans or English-Nigerians want to choose from those teams then that is another issue again, but Amauri basically wants to play international football for Italy because he can't for Brazil.
And this is why I dislike Italian fanboys. Camo has been more "anti-Italian" than Amauri has been, and still holds Argentina close to his heart, yet you still support him in the Azzurri. Why? Probably because he helped the Azzurri win the World Cup.

And you can't prove Amauri doesn't "feel" Italian.

To me, it seems like a lot of people who consider themselves Italian are just jealous that someone like Amauri could get a call up to their beloved Azzurri.

I'm pretty sure it was more or less the same, just that Amauri can't ever get his paperwork done unlike Camo.

Because Camoranesi has Italian lineage, thought that was pretty clear...
Personally speaking I only like him being a Juve player. Perhaps you are speaking directly to me at the end there but it's not an issue of jealousy, it's being treated as a second option, and not a particularly good one either.

It's called supporting your nation, try it some time. :p
Nah, that would be too predictable :D

Seems pretty obvious from what he's said to the press. But if you wanna throw Camo in the same boat you can just say he was a clever version of Amauri, got what he wanted without offering himself up to all the world and getting no buyers.

Italy the unified government has only been around since 1860. Amauri has Mediterranean roots. If Camo's grandparents can be used as an argument to allow Camo on the Italian national team, then so can Amauri's distant relatives.

Camo was born and raised in Argentina, didn't spend any time at all in Italy until he left his Mexican club, yet he's Italian because his folks cooked him spaghetti at dinner. Give me a fucking break.

My late Polish grandma cooked me all sorts of Polish food back in the day. I should be allowed to play for Poland.

if u had an passport than why not :D

thats what i mean with when u got a passport u are allowed to play for the country... i mean every country is multicultured.... so why not....
so i would not hate against amauri... i for myself wouldn't play for italy if i was him... but that just goes for me...
cause if he could chose between italy and brazil its crystal clear which country he would chose... and just cause he doesn't get a call up he shouldn't act like a bitch and running to the next national team....

You wouldn't hate Amauri for suiting up for the Azzurri, but he's a bitch for trying to do it.

That makes a lot of sense.

Come on now, the unified government, that is pushing it a bit.

Well amongst the mocking you can play for Poland...

But those are facts. The area that makes up Italy was there before the nation was formed, you know. I don't see why that wouldn't qualify Amauri as a descendent of the region.

Camo may not have even known his grandparents, so who cares if he had them in the first place? Doesn't mean he's Italian at all.

on a personal level i would hate him for doing that but in the end i have no other option than cheer for my national team...and if he is part of it would should i do against it?
Well, that's what always happens, isn't it? Camo was hated and then loved when the Cup was won.

That's what makes Azzurri fans hypocrites and scum.

The Spanish team dismantled the French in France.... You know you are really good when you have Torres, Xavi, Albiol, and Senna all coming off the bench. Spain: The team to beat in the world cup, but I still think for some reason Germany will win the world cup

Funny thing that guy from this forum was hailing Algeria so much before. Saying he can't wait till they meet us and take the victory.

It's even an away match for us and Algeria is supposed to be good there.
I dare you to find the post where i said they will win. I said it was going to be tough as Algeria rarely lose at home, but i never said that i expected anyone to win.
