Zavaglia(D'Agostino's agent): "For now he's staying, you never know in the future. It's more probable he could leave in July to a club like Juve. They're the only big club interested, Milan already have Pirlo".

I wonder why we're the only big club interested.

So in a sense, the agent is likening Gaetano D'Agostino to Andrea Pirlo. Bold.

I like D'Agostino, he would fit in well with Juve and we need another midfielder because Zanetti and Tiago are most likely gonna leave come June. Zanetti's contract runs out and Tiago isnt gonna get playing time, but i still think we need to focus on the left wing and the right back area.

Zanetti's contract runs out in 2010. I believe D'Agostino to be a good player for a club like Udinese, Lazio...but would be just a backup of the backup at a club like Juve.

There is little chance of him coming here. We are overloaded in midfield and I doubt he is better than Tiago or Zanetti. Ekdal may play next season so he will be further down the order.

i think we should only concentrate on RB and LW we don't need midfielders unless we r going to sell tiago or zanetti (for me i want to get rid of poulsen) ..... i don't trust on D'Agostino but if we gonna get him please don't overprice him !!!!

D'Agostino is exactly what our team needs!!
Another mediocre-average DM, we are raising up a collection of them
and we made a tradition of acquiring one every year.
We can never have enough of them, CR learned that,
the hard way this year, when he was forced to field a CM...
Well done Secco, he is really improving and closing some very difficult deals.
These times are very difficult for Juve and better players would never accept to play for us (anyone who says otherwise is a FM player)
Secco should be rewarded with an extra bonus and have his contract extended for a further more decade. What a brilliant move to set up this deal from now,
his vision is marvelous, he knows very well that by the summer the biggest clubs in the world will all run for DAgostino and he got sure Juve will be one step ahead of them!!
This is how we are going to make history,
this is how we are going to build a strong Juve to compete for titles with the best out there!!
We are now fully prepared to replace our retiring champions, our defense is rock solid/bulletproof, esp our wing backs, our midfield is a very...strong one...
All we need is another quality forward, to absorve the majority of our transfer budget.
That whould be Cassano, most likely, esp if the experienced Elkanns take over...

Why ... ??

Its still early to pass judgment on him. He is a full Danish intl', he succeeded in La Liga and the Bundesliga, he juz needs a few games to get the groove of Serie A

 Great player D'agostino is, he can proabably win us both the scudetto and CL single handley. With D'agostino the other 10 players are useless. But surely we will have to fight off some very tough competition from Barca, Real, Bayern and the Milan sides;)

1. D'Agostino is not a defensive player at all. He's a Pirlo type midfielder.

2. At this moment, after 17 rounds in serie A, he's the leagues best distributor of the ball (leads the passes list)
http://sport.alice.it/calcio/serie-a/statistiche/giocatori/passaggi.html

3. He's the second best assistman of the league (with 5 assists he shares the 2nd place)
http://sport.alice.it/calcio/serie-a/statistiche/giocatori/assist.html

4. He's among the top10, 6th actually, in the Crosses list
http://sport.alice.it/calcio/serie-a/statistiche/giocatori/cross.html

I believe you will all agree that we're talking about a playmaker here, and a very solid one. He's very creative and that's what you've all been asking for.
Now, you can doubt his quality, but at least acknowledge his very good season and don't make a false picture of him. He's not a DM like the ones we have in the team and when you said that we're raising up a collection of DMCs, you were wrong to include him among the other DMCs we have.

Here his position is well described:

Nasce centrocampista offensivo. Nel corso della sua carriera si è adattato al ruolo di regista di centrocampo con ottimi risultati.

He started as an attacking midfielder. During his career he adapted to the role of a playmaker, with great results.

Average player though, couldnt cut it at roma, and shipped off. Would do good for midtable club i.e. Udinese, Napoli, Lazio etc But not at a top club.
