There are more than enough clubs I could find that at, along with some dignity and self respect to go with it.
Doubt it.

You might be right, but the 98 ball & 2000 ball were very similar.
Apart from one having 'World Cup 1998' on it, and the other 'Euro 2000'.

just like any other problems in life, I refuse to acknowledge it! let's not think about it, concentrate on what he can do with this season at the prospect of winning the double, and deal with whatever may come after - when it actually does.

Madrid. Barca. Manure. Bayern. Milan.

They treat their heroes a lot better. They pay better. They have won more trophies in Europe. Juventus, after supporting them for 20 years, I don't know what they stand for. I understand it's a business, but Alex is Juventus and more so, doesn't earn enough to hurt the 'business' aspect while selling jerseys, more than anybody else. He's a profit. So really, what do we stand for? Don't see a code of honour. I see us as a club that sucks off our heroes when convenient. Buffon almost got sold last year when he wasn't playing, but this year he's one grin away from a life contract. Trezeguet hasn't even had a testimonial match yet. Nedved didn't get the best goodbye either. And I dint even want to elaborate on the current situation. Fact is, we as a club our letting ourselves and our fans down because of petty politics and fragile egos. Gianni Agnelli's Juventus stood the test of time and held out for a lot more. Even if Andrea Agnelli's Juventus wins more titles, they'll still never be as rich morally.

Correct but we don't know how Alex would think about it. The club can offer a new contract to see what decision Del Piero would make and if he decided to stay as a sub, who are we to say he's wrong?
true, but there is no way knowing if ale and manahement talked about such things. we will know all soon enough.

Raul, Ronaldinho, Cantona, does Bayern have legends?, Maldini booed by the fans.

But by all means, go the fuck away to one of those clubs.

Because he would have announced it at the beginning of the season.
Hmmm, I don't think that's true. When you are talking about additional one year contracts they would be determined further into the season, otherwise if he sits down in August 2011 and says he wants a new contract until June 2013 it is virtually a two year contract. I'd say Jan 2012 and beyond would be more the time to make that decision, if he hadn't decided to leave already.

You seem to be a smart guy
I don't know who is spreading these vicious rumours.

tell me why does the club not offer him a new contract? Wouldn't it make the things easier for everyone, fans and media? If Alex is determined to leave, he will decline it. Fans will know that he is leaving on his own terms and the club will have shown a classy gesture.
I'm not completely convinced it wasn't a mutual decision anyway, or that Agnelli and Alex had no already spoken and agreed verbally. Agnelli just messed it up. Talk about a power struggle and all the rest is conspiracy theorist stuff, there can never be a real power struggle between an Agnelli and a player, no matter the player. You only need to look at Calciopoli and the aftermath.

Nope, nope, nope, and after the 'they've won more trophies in Europe' comment I can't be arsed to read the rest. Sounds like another with confused loyalties.

What did Agnelli mess up and why was Alex surprised about his announcement?

Last time I checked it was around 22. You can't have more than me.
You are a bigger fan than me but Alen is like always an even bigger fan :p

Because he didn't expect him to announce it?

That should have been Del Piero's right, really.
But if it (quitting Juve at the end of the season) was what Ale was determined to do, there couldn't be any disappointment/surprise. I agree that he perhaps had talked about a last year contract when signing the current one but he'd thought he might have changed his opinion. I see no other reason why he would be disappointed by the announcement. And if he's indeed changed his mind and wants to stay, the club must offer a new contract to him because this is the right thing to do.
