To be honest, our legends didn't get threated well under Capello/Moggi either, the likes of Tacchinardi, Davids and Conte were nearly forced out of the club.
Players when they passed prime and couldn't offer a lot for the team were pushed out for new arrivals? Shocking!

I can't see why Ale would want to stay another year anyways. It must be torture for him missing so many matches. Relegated to sub status... etc.

I can;t blame him for going elsewhere to get more time on the pitch and likely more money than anything Juve would be willing to offer him should they want him around for another season.

I'd really love to see him in the MLS if he leaves Juve.

True, it's even better deal for DP this way, he gets to play longer in top divisions and not sit on the bench.

relax guys, dp will stay another year..it's maybe a marketing thingy...
Why do you even want him to stay? He will most definatly don't get any time next season. Why would you want him here? One more supporter in the crowd won't change anything.

He leaves, he plays for as many years as he wishes gets fat load of money, relaxes a bit an then comes back here to help Nedved with the real stuff.

well it was a poor decision to buy boriello, he's weaker than dp. now about him just being there on the bench and in the locker room can help the young fellas. for 1 fuckin million we shouldn't throw away our captain, our best player that ever was and maybe ever will for juve. he'll play for free, he would even pay up just to start a damn game (see a real players reaction after the parma thing) if he wants to play for juve let him, if his decision is to leave i will be a bit dissapointed but accept him. the fans should not hear a new president giving ultimatums to dp. he's a fighter, i'm sure he'll catch some coppa games, some minutes.

To each his own I guess. For me stayng just for coppa is not looking very fun. He wants to play be it here or abroad. And since he will not play here next season, the choice becomes simple.

Actually it's not up to Alex to decide, it's up to those who run the club. It would have been a nice and respectable gesture towards a clubs biggest legend, but it is what it is.
Decide what?! How and when he needs to announce his retirement!? It's really fantastic he's here on a 1m per year salary, but it makes me wonder, if he should've just kicked this club in its backside when it went down to Serie B instead of making the sacrifices he made. People running the club seemed awfully quiet at that time. How about everyone in charge of running this club, grew a pair instead of letting the club legend know that he wasn't needed at the first sign of success. The Old Lady is more spineless than she has ever been. It is what it is.

The club always comes first. I think Del Piero knows this. I don't think it is at all tarnishing his legend or an insult to him at all. It's just the best move for all parties involved... except the fans. lol
