I can;t blame him for going elsewhere to get more time on the pitch and likely more money than anything Juve would be willing to offer him should they want him around for another season.

Why do you even want him to stay? He will most definatly don't get any time next season. Why would you want him here? One more supporter in the crowd won't change anything.

well it was a poor decision to buy boriello, he's weaker than dp. now about him just being there on the bench and in the locker room can help the young fellas. for 1 fuckin million we shouldn't throw away our captain, our best player that ever was and maybe ever will for juve. he'll play for free, he would even pay up just to start a damn game (see a real players reaction after the parma thing) if he wants to play for juve let him, if his decision is to leave i will be a bit dissapointed but accept him. the fans should not hear a new president giving ultimatums to dp. he's a fighter, i'm sure he'll catch some coppa games, some minutes.

Actually it's not up to Alex to decide, it's up to those who run the club. It would have been a nice and respectable gesture towards a clubs biggest legend, but it is what it is.

It's really fantastic he's here on a 1m per year salary, but it makes me wonder, if he should've just kicked this club in its backside when it went down to Serie B instead of making the sacrifices he made. People running the club seemed awfully quiet at that time. How about everyone in charge of running this club, grew a pair instead of letting the club legend know that he wasn't needed at the first sign of success. The club always comes first. I think Del Piero knows this. I don't think it is at all tarnishing his legend or an insult to him at all. It's just the best move for all parties involved... except the fans. lol

I hope he does. I forgot about the Champions League, I could see him negotiating another one year deal for CL football. I think it all depends on how bad Ale wants it, and if he is willing to take less money to stay here than he likely would to go to another club.
