I've never known a Juve without Ale, even though he wasn't the reason I started supporting the club. For some of us who started supporting the club probably from as long as Ale has been here, it's difficult to separate between the two entities. When we talk Juventus, we talk about Del Piero. Our respect for the club comes from our respect towards Del Piero especially in the past few years when there has been very few things done by the club management to deserve respect. So it's natural that it's difficult for us to differentiate between the two. Once Del Piero leaves some of us will feel a void much more than the others. That void will not be reduced by another #10, let it be Aguero or Neymar or Messi. For us it'll only be healed with time. And I'm pretty sure it'll take a long long time. If the club management does not respect the legend and if they as much as nudge him towards the door, then I will hold a grudge against them until they are shown the way out. Do what you want behind the doors in the board room, but when you open your mouth in public, you don't disrespect my idol. Will I stop supporting Juventus when Del Piero retires? No. Will I have the same passion with which I support the club now? Probably not. It'll take quite sometime before that can happen.
:agree: I just won't have a favourite player again like I had Alex...

When people ask me who is my fave player, It was always Alessandro, and when people ask me again when the captain is no longer with Juve, I will still say Del Piero.
And I think all of you and all of us Del Piero fans will agree that, when we are A Del Piero fan it automatically makes us a Juventino, for me it will be forever, and this is because Alex himself loves Juve more than anything, and because we love Del Piero we will love Juve,At the end of it,we are Juventini, I dont like it when Juve loses, I hate it when Juve draws and that will be until I die.

You may say Legends come and go, but Del Piero is beyond legendary, and the treatment he is getting is lets just say not the way I would expect from this club which Del Piero loves so fuckin much.

All in all, I hope there is a pleasant surprise at all this, as thats what Del Piero keeps on doing throughout his career, especially when it comes to Juve and that is why he is more than a legend.

I am equally a Juventino and a Del Piero fanboy, so when he finally officially and permanently leave that captain armband to Buffon/Chiellini I will stay a Juventino but I will have a lot of tears running down and will feel that Juve just lost something that can never be replaced.

Forza Alessandro Del Piero Capitano!

Would you guys fancy the idea of DP being our coach some day, or you prefer him as a director atm and someday chairman?
Not sure about coaching, but he would shine in a directorial position. And would be a great president one day, no doubt. Tho I bet his analysis as a coach would be legendary and quote-worthy every time.

Former Juve striker Boniek said REALLY important things, very important read!!!!!

"My feelings are that the club want to turn the page with Del Piero without going back on their decision,"

"By announcing the move now, Agnelli has made his intentions clear, Juventus will not go backwards and offer Del Piero a new deal as soon as he scores two or three goals.

"What surprised me is the way Agnelli revealed the news. In my opinion the club does not want to offer Del Piero any further role, not even as a director.

"I can see a certain jealousy towards Del Piero. He is the symbol and image of Juventus and perhaps his continued presence there could shadow the other directors.

"The club has offered a clear message, they no longer want Del Piero there."

wow, some very daring words from Boniek..But i take with a pinch of salt, afterall he doesnt really like our current directors..
I still feel Del Piero would provide a pleasant surprise,if its not by becoming our captain on the field,he will probably take charge of our really messed up board.

:agree: Boniek isn't exactly someone you want to listen, at least in these matters. You can sideline Del Piero. Rab will go all Assassins Creed on the board :D

He's right, it's well known. I think these days Ale is good friend of the Elkaans and not Agnelli, according to few articles from last year Andrea just doesn't want him in the club, and now it's clear to all.

I still believe that if Ale will play like he knows from Saturday forward, there's a chance he'll get a new contract.

And according to other articles DP & AA are close friends.

It's not the first time Boniek tries to stir up shit in Juve, and he's also pissed because he isn't rated a former "star" at the Stadium by the current Juve board.

We will see how this situation further develops, I'm not ruling out anything, but I agree with the poster who said that we must take Boniek's words with a pinch of salt.

You can bet on it:D

But on a serious note why Boniek would say such a things out of no where?

Tacchi, Moggi, Torricelli, Di Livio many others have said similar things but in a more diplomatic polite way from what I can tell.

Slowly my respect for the club Juve is dropping.... First Nedved then Camo, Then the reason why i supported Juve : Trezeguet and now the one who i affect with the name Juventus. Our Captain, the one who did everything he could for this club. Serie B, lower Paycheck. What more do you want your Bandiera to do to deserve some respect from this board full of morons including mone who happends to have Agnelli as his last name, now let me tell you this Andrea, your granddad would never tolerated this. At least he knew what Juventus and Del Piero stood for.

Del Piero forever il Capitano!

When I saw the way Trezeguet was treated and how Pavel's last contract was handled I kept wondering sometimes whether it's a coincidence or they really pushed him away(David) in an ugly way. But the more I'm following this the more I'm convinced that we are anything but professionals.

These things happen at Inter, Roma, Milan at times but since when did we turn into bunch of clowns handling this big club and it's biggest player throughout history?
