Salvatore, just two days ago on Al-Jazeera sport, they said that Del Piero never made a statement saying when he wants to quit and spend time with his family.

As for Ale's comments today, he confirmed what we've been saying. That said, I'm seriously torn apart.
Indeed, those quotes were from Nedved in 2009.

"smiled" is important, I don't think he's as pissed off at Agnelli as fans are.

Even though deep inside I feel very sad about this news, something about me is truly happy and excited knowing that he'll rise to the occasion again to prove his doubters wrong, this time especially the Juventus' Board, by playing superbly and lead the team to something great this season.

Forza Ale.
I agree. And like I said, it's not over till Ale says it's over. If he'll play the season of his life from now on, Agnelli would have to offer him a new contract.

And again, our board :sergio:

Fucking joke...disgusting

even if he was he would never say anything about it, such is the class of Alex.
Diplomatic smile man, I think we all know Del Piero. He's too classy to respond ala Totti style.
Because of his class (on and off the field) I think that if Del Piero asks for another season, there would be no problem. They just seem like two people that would get along anyway, Ale was always loved by the Agnelli family.

I think Del Piero might have signed a contract with the option of an extension if he wanted, can't really remember the specific details.

And it took him two days to say that :frown2:

Is this still possible that story of Del Piero at Juve has a better ending?
He explodes and they renew his contract. Either that or we finish top 3... I think they say 'we have good news for the fans, Alex will play one more year'

Dunno why but I think that would be possible.

I have lost a tonne of respect for Andrea Agnelli and the other goofs who make up our management.

How can you not let the biggest legend this club has ever had retire on his own terms? It boggles the mind that we are treating our most loved and most successful player ever like this. Absolutely disgraceful.

I've never known a Juve without Ale, even though he wasn't the reason I started supporting the club. For some of us who started supporting the club probably from as long as Ale has been here, it's difficult to separate between the two entities. When we talk Juventus, we talk about Del Piero. Our respect for the club comes from our respect towards Del Piero especially in the past few years when there has been very few things done by the club management to deserve respect. So it's natural that it's difficult for us to differentiate between the two. Once Del Piero leaves some of us will feel a void much more than the others. That void will not be reduced by another #10, let it be Aguero or Neymar or Messi. For us it'll only be healed with time. And I'm pretty sure it'll take a long long time. If the club management does not respect the legend and if they as much as nudge him towards the door, then I will hold a grudge against them until they are shown the way out. Do what you want behind the doors in the board room, but when you open your mouth in public, you don't disrespect my idol. Will I stop supporting Juventus when Del Piero retires? No. Will I have the same passion with which I support the club now? Probably not. It'll take quite sometime before that can happen.
