Juve rule out Del Piero exit

Juventus have laughed off speculation that Alessandro Del Piero could end his career with rivals Milan.

Rossoneri owner Silvio Berlusconi this week invited the Italian legend to join the San Siro outfit before he retired.

“Del Piero to Milan? I don’t think so,” explained Bianconeri transfer guru Beppe Marotta.

“The fact that Berlusconi rates him so much is a testament to the player, but Del Piero won’t play in a Milan shirt.”

The almost 36-year-old has less than a year left on his current deal and he recently admitted that he would remain in Turin or move abroad.

“His [agent] brother has said that Alex is and will be a Juventus player,” Marotta continued. “There will soon be a meeting around a table with President Andrea Agnelli.

“The new stadium will be ready next season and if Del Piero hopes to play there then there will be no problems.”

It's kind of funny we're desperate enough to keep this guy in the staff.

Give him a < 1m per year contract, a bench role and I guess it's a positive move.

I'm all for the future, but you seriously can't think this is his true worth. By marketing alone he is worth n times more than you are suggesting he be paid. And at the moment how much our other forwards should be paid then? 10k I guess.

We have to think about the future, the fact we can't replace this guy who hasn't been at his best for a while (and that's being very kind to him) is kinda sad. What he brings to the pitch is not worth more than 1 m and would be an overpaid psychologist in the dressing room so yeah, I would rather pay 3 or 4 m to an actual starter with talent and future than to a dried up player who should be thinking about retiring with grace.

In terms of marketing who gives a fuck? Stick him somewhere in the organization, have photo shoots and voila! Also, if you get a great charismatic player that pledges himself to the team to replace him, it would be like losing nothing at all.

Wouldn't you say it's too late for that now? The "with grace" part I mean, obviously.

Why do you visit this thread when obviously you don't like Alex. It's pretty sad and pathetic to think about him the way you think, he's our biggest legend and represent everything that is Juventus.

You may not like him, in terms that he is not your favorite player, hell I like Trez more than him, but to hate him and throw mud at his name is simply shameful for any Juve fan.

I'm talking about money and contracts. It's kind of a requirement to be a pragmatist in these respects. If you happily waste millions in your budget then I wouldn't want you managing anything.

Everyone in the board or among the fans in stadium or those who worship Del Piero here in this thread do everything possible to irritate the hell out of VicCB. Whenever he sees a glimmering light in the far end of this tunnel, there is someone to ruin it all for him :D

And he still has to support this desperate club :seven:

I love how agitated you get. Maybe all you need is more speedo pics of Ale to brighten your day, lol.

It must be sad for you though, that you care about our washed up "superstar" so much that you genuinely get angry.

Oh no! Such horrible punishment! Please spare me from it. Are you 12 or something?
