What other top tier team would have transferred him in and given him everything Juve were giving him? Please, what a HUGE sacrifice.
Just couple of days ago Berlusca was begging Del Piero to sign for him. So STFU.

When Capello was in-charge, Sir Alex Ferguson, Ancelotti were requesting him. Real Madrid were requesting him in 04-05.

Enjoy your trolling session. You know precisely what he gave up.
I am sure he doesn't.

Playing for 18 years isn't a sacrifice for him

Rejecting several offers when he was at his peak isn't loyality

Sticking with the team even when Capello undeservedly benched him isn't sacrifice

Being THE FIRST ONE TO COMMIT to Juventus when we went down to Serie b is something digestible to him.

I'm telling you, the guy is eyedicked.

Berlucunt was just being Berlucunt and giving himself deadlines.

Again, who else guaranteed him a starting spot and big wages? Not to take away from his effort, but it was hardly a sacrifice. Hell, look at him now, he's an Empoli level player but he's still the starter in our team. I think that year in Serie B paid off, didn't it?

I'm talking about money and contracts. It's kind of a requirement to be a pragmatist in these respects. If you happily waste millions in your budget then I wouldn't want you managing anything.
From money point of view forcing Del Piero into retirement would be one of the dumbest moves ever, the guy is like a chicken that lays golden eggs for Juventus.

Well, if I'm being payed enormous wages despite my lack of quality I'd still keep on playing until I'm 40.

Rejecting several offers? It's not like Juventus is a B tier team compared to Man U and Real Madrid, Juve is one of the best teams in Europe.

Del Piero was going to leave if Capello remained the coach after we went to Serie B.

Again, sacrifice my ass. No team could have given him the same deal so meh.

Two questions

1- Since when do you follow this team?

2- Are you dumb?
1. For a pretty long time. I've seen Del Piero go from a top level football player to not being an exciting player to watch anymore.

2. I'm not the one that wants to pay millions for a 37 year old player in 2011.
