Come and think about It, I don't think Totti's place is 100% in safe hands, after-all he's yet to be fit just like Marcello said and If he fail to performe against Swiss and Ukrain then I think the first Two games will See Alex Starting. That said, that, I do feel Lippi will probably start with Dp and Totti in the World Cup after these two friendly matches.

About Gila and Dp, there's no doubt Dp can provide and give much more than Gila, who wasn't that good in his first milan season not to forget that he failed to score his first goal in the champions league, unlike Del Piero, who didn't play that much but was our best player this season not to forget his goals ofcoarse.

I say Toni-Dp-Totti.
ya might like the formation I post before then Rab.

A little passage of a letter by Ale, that we'll find on June's Hurra' Juventus:

"... I'm proud to be Juventino, I'm proud to be a "bandiera", like you often call me, but the truth is that I'm a little piece of a big Juventus flag, a flag that grows with the years passing and, if each of you looks closely, he'll will find also his name on it..."

Thats the best Formation I've seen so far, though I'm not sure whether to pick Pirlo or Camoranesi.
Oddo and Zambrotta can push forward, DP and Totti can play more widely then we won't need a real wingers like Camoe, Pirlo can certinaly provide more depth and vision in midfield.

Well said, Very good point:tup:

If Oddo from the right and Zambo from the left will push forward, then we wont be needing Rino/De Rossi/Pirlo/Camo pushing alot, not to forget that Dp-Totti can combine and help Massimo Oddo and Zambo from the sides.

imo oddo is only good at crossing balls and shooting an all the other areas he is quite an average player but still 2 great crosses 2 great headers by toni it would fit quite well so why not?

can i ask how that is a good formation? Trap tryed almost the same thing with vieri in the midle around del piero, totti in 2002. I dont like running a one man forward front with great players behind him and i no that lippi wont play it that way. The 11 man roster will be no shock for the first game against ghana.........just like the 23 man roster lippi announced 3 weeks ago wasn't a shock

It's actually good in a way, they want Oddo and Zambrotta to move forward in the wings while Del Piero and Totti get inside and they cross it in, not the best of formations but if they play like how they did against Germany, then they really have a go-go for this World Cup.

they didnt play this formation against Germany......they had gilla and toni up with Del piero behind them.

and if they play with del piero in front of totti and behind toni they can still get oddo and zambo down the wings

I know, Im saying if they played with the formation they played against Germany, then they have a chance, I don't know what formation they used as I only saw the last 30 minutes of the match.
