Yes I did..what a shame, but the reason I want to see them play together now is because they are under Lippi's command..seriously, I would have never imagined Lippi telling Totti what to do on the pitch :howler: and as for another reason, I have never seen Del Piero play like this in a loong time so..I believe this is his year :D

To Del Piero and the Azzurri :pint:

can i ask how that is a good formation? Trap tryed almost the same thing with vieri in the midle around del piero, totti in 2002. I dont like running a one man forward front with great players behind him and i no that lippi wont play it that way. The 11 man roster will be no shock for the first game against ghana.........just like the 23 man roster lippi announced 3 weeks ago wasn't a shock
milan have used that formation to great effect when shevchenko was out, it provides luca toni with some great playmakers who are sure to give him service, and this is different, its not just totti with vieri, its del piero and totti behind toni

well then bring out the old video tape and see them play together in 2002 before totti got kicked out for spitting
that was 2004, and there have been many games which totti and del piero have destroyed defences, they play very well, they know each others style well

Pardon moi,

But Trap didn't try Totti-Dp together in the World Cup....It'll be much more diff having these two on the field. It's not like as you described it, I don't think Lippi's men will be running one man forward, Totti and Dp both do the push aswell, that said that Lippi is much more diff than Trap.

you honestly think he will us that formation after lippi has said himself he wants to play 3 strikers? and no trap played del piero off to the left wing in 2004 with veiri up front and totti behind.

it doesn't matter what anybody thinks he isn't going to play many qualifing and friendly matches with the same formation and then switch it up in germany and play with one striker.

I'm afraid I didn't get your point well.

Wasn't 2002 a world cup time??

If we're talking about Euro04, well they only had one game to play against denmark, before they banned totti 3games.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in hurra Juventus Del piero wrote these words (may be elissa can translate it better) :
I am proud to be juventino, to be a bandiera?, but in fact I am a small part of the great bianconero bandiera, that is born in many years and still grows. we should stay all united.
The first time I had the juve shirt on as a kid, I had great emotions, these emotions are now proud. I love this shirt, I had said it and I repeat it, and all what it represents.
-----------------------------

forza il capitano, I am so emotional to hear such words from Del piero, he shows now for all the blind people, who all did not know why we defended Dp all the time, DP is best what juve ever had...

Del Piero said on his site :

" Hello to all of you... here at Coverciano we're keeping up our training sessions getting ready for the World Cup, schedule will see us heading towards Geneva to play a friendly match Wednesday evening against Switzerland, first of two tests before Germany 2006. Talk to you soon "

We are all with you Alex :agree:
