Better: promise to sell them Gigi, and then laugh at the look on their faces when Gigli shows up for practice.

Once the check clears, of course.

If they offer us 100M for Gigi, I don't know how we can say no.

Unless we don't want the money in the hands of Secco and Gigli.

Had bids for Trez & Gigi been made pre calciopoli days i wouldnt have any problems with Juventus making a substansial profit, plus the chance to strengthen the squad.

Too many sacrifices went down in Serie B & tons of records were broken by the pair. They need to hang up their boots at Juventus, end of!

Offering him UK£500k a week too. Silly money. With those kinds of figures, it's down to Kaka. Frankly, I think it'd be hilarious to see him in a relegation battle.

The figures they're talking about are stupid money. Buffon and Trezeguet would have to be offered the chance to go. Would they stay, or take a big pay day?

I have to say though, I can't see anyone spending money like that on Trezeguet now. He's just too old.

If a substantial offer comes in for Trezeguet, i believe we should accept it, no matter how much i adore him, but at Man City he'd be starting most games, with Robinho, Ireland, SWP, (kaka) etc he'd be getting great service, and if i'm not mistaken he said he wants to play in the EPL at a time, and like this we'd be receiving a large amount of money, which we should spend on a finisher, someone like Torres or Benzema.

I wouldn't sell BUffon cause he just gives the whole team an air of confidence, i mean yesterday in the Catania match defenders were willing to give him back passes, and he was so confident he dribbled the strikers. I believe Legro had said that Gigi is worth an extra 15 points a season, and if we really want to knock inter off their pedestal we have to keep Gigi.

Maybe we should send the sheik some of badass devil's posts of how Chimenti is better than Buffon, and sell Chimenti for as much as they are willing to spend :D

Then the bids for Del Piero & Paro come in because they are better than Fabregas & Pele.:D

TBF, Manninger is no Buffon, but he's certanly shown that Gigi can be adequatly replaced. We may not find anyone as good or better, but with the money we could make the team better overall.

I have had the same thoughts since September myself...
