Hypocrites, expose yourself (1 Viewer)

CL spot, YOU prefer?

  • Inter, I want the best thing for this league and Juve

  • Bayern, I can't support Inter and I want them to "choke"

  • I hate Inter. Stolen Scudetti, not a single Italian player, and I'll support anyone that plays again

  • You mean the Champions League has still been going on since December?

It seems the consensus is that jbf should stop being a jackass. jbf, cut it out.
Yup, Im a jackass now for pointing out his poor english while him replying to many of my posts with the ridiculous you're a "retard, stupid, troll,..etc." that I've ignored on many occasions is nothing but being an ass. It's the double standards all the fucking time, time and time again.

Obviously. I wouldn't even mention it, let alone complain, if the tournament was being held in the Usa for example.
But afaik, 13h30 in South Africa is 13h30 for me. And I really don't understand why they would play their first game at 13h30 on regular weekdays.

But you do have to make it in Europe to be considered a truly good or great player. Whether that is fair or not is up for debate, but you simply can't deny it.

Whether its fair or not was not the argument i was trying to make in the first place.

Whether its true or not however.....

:wallbang:

Are you trying to annoy me with these answers or are you just ignorant?

I don't think I claimed that players outside of Europe can't be good or great.
What I did say is that if you, as a player, want to be universally regarded as a truly great one, then you have play in Europe. Simple as that.
Now, you may think that the general public is wrong in thinking like that, but that does not make it any less true.

It's not exactly rocket science, so I really don't know why that is so difficult to understand.

I agree that for a player to be universally regarded as a great, he should make it at the top level in Europe.

The only reason for that, is because most football fans watch the top European leagues, and very few watch leagues from South America, Asia or Africa. But for someone like me, who watches both Arab football and European football, i watch a player like Abo Trika, and then theres another player, say Marouane Chamakh who is making it at the top level in Europe right now. I watch both players a lot, and i've come to the conclusion that Abo Trika is a better player at his prime than Chamakh. Now most people would assume that Chamakh is better than any other Arab player due to his success in the Ligue, his imminent move to Arsenal etc.

But the only reason behind that assumption is because you haven't watched enough of Abo Trika. Not because Chamakh is really better than him.

I changed my mind.

Forza Bayern :D

Why don't you just tell everyone who you're going to support a few minutes before kick off. You're going to keep changing your mind right up until the last moment anyway. So save yourself some typing :D

So, essentially you completely agree with what I posted :D

And to confirm your point: I have never heard of Abo Trika. A lot of regular football enthousiasts have probably never heard of him. Hence, he is not considered as a true great.

I heard of him because I followed the ACN the last two times. But I agree with you that a player who wants to be called a true great in these days, need to play, or had to play in Europe.
As a striker, you had to prove you could score against the best defenders, which are in Europe at the moment.
As a defender, you had to shine against the best strikers which play in Europe at the moment and so on.

People not hearing of him does not negate the fact that he's a better player than Chamakh. I watch both players, and it is pretty obvious, the fact that people don't see Abo Trika play does not mean he is an inferior player.
