Hypocrites, expose yourself (2 Viewers)

CL spot, YOU prefer?

  • Inter, I want the best thing for this league and Juve

  • Bayern, I can't support Inter and I want them to "choke"

  • I hate Inter. Stolen Scudetti, not a single Italian player, and I'll support anyone that plays again

  • You mean the Champions League has still been going on since December?

What about the damn international competitions such as the African cup of nations and the world cup qualifiers for that matter, don't those involve high level of competition and some quality teams who aren't easily outperformed?

Now here's what you said before:

And I was arguing about that, I wasn't arguing whether its fair or not but rather denying it as a fact that every player have to make it in Europe to be considered good enough. While now you explained that it's the general public you were talking about and for that I agree, they do believe that.
How is what I said before (and what you quoted) different from what I said in my last post? You lost me here, honestly.

Anyway, this discussion is over on my part, since I've made my point several times by now.

Not if you're from a continent without quality opposition. Otherwise you'd be saying this is the biggest personal achievement in football:

" Australia went on to break their own record by winning 31–0, with Thompson scoring 13 goals, breaking the world record for most goals scored in an international match. "

Archie Thompson, the best football player that has ever lived. Right?

And Spurs beat Wigan 9-1, which is the biggest result this season in all the considered three best leagues in the world. Spurs> Rest clubs in Europe. Right?

No. But you are helping me to prove my point. So I'm going to thank you for that, before I explain to you where exactly you went wrong.

You see, when I said that performing well against quality opposition was what made you a quality player, I wasn't referring to Wigan (also, by the way, it wasn't the biggest result this season, Chelsea won 8-0 just yesterday). Rather I was talking about performing against Man United, Barcelona, Inter or Real Madrid.

Point is: I don't care about Muhammad El Bahamala doing great in Qatar. Muhammad El Bahamala will be a good player if he does well in the EPL week in week out.

You know 9 is actually bigger than 8 :shifty:

Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion about any player. But IMO again, I don't think its either fair nor realistic to judge a player's ability by simply limiting him to the fact that he played in Europe or not. But hey that's just me.

And just a simple fact, Ivory coast, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Mali and Algeria aren't exactly what you call inferior international teams, just take a look at their players and you'll realize how big of teams they are, even according to your standards since almost all of them have 5-6 players minimum playing in Europe so they should at least be better than the ones who aren't

Exactly. They're good teams and their best players are playing in Europe. You seem so keen to prove my point again and again.

But I dare you to name 4 quality club football sides from Africa.

Im not proving your point, You said that playing in Europe makes you a good footballer right? So there's no Egyptian players starting for their NT playing in Europe ATM, so I guess playing against African teams whose players play in Europe makes the Egyptian players eligible to the at least "good" rating, by your standards ofcourse. Elsewhere, you're just a hypocrite.

As for the 4 quality African club sides, Easy: Al Ahli and Al Zamalik from Egypt, Tarajee from Tunisia and Wifak Staif from Algeria.

But that's only according to my book, others ought to have their own classification.
