3 , i speak Swedish, Finnish and English fluently, never really learned to write in any language. and i understand and usually i can communicate in Danish, Norweigan and Deutsche, i can read and understand about 70% of Italian and Spanish but the conversation often quickly switches to English,
i should perhaps take some lessons and try to learn the languages the "right" way by sitting down on a school bench, but time is so limited, I feel it's easier and more enjoyable to learn a language thru face-to-face conversation,
it's remarkable how fast one can get a hang of a language after just a limited amount of time spent with someone who "forces" you to learn a new language.
Just gotta say that even though i really don't understand anything about French or Russian i still think they are among the top 3 most beautiful languages, with Italiano among them,
English as a languages is just horrible, no offence to anyone, so far i've just come across one descent "accent" of the english language, that is Scottish, witch is almost not understandable, but it sounds great.
The Saame language, which is spoken in the northern hemispehre of the scandic regions, is also nice, and it's sad that it is facing extinction.
Languages should not be compared as the opinion you personally get of a language, often depends on the person whom you are speaking with...
but who am i to talk about language i barely know my own language i live in Finland speak Finnish every day, and my mother tongue is swedish...
