Why not just say that he has the potential to be a very good defender, instead of calling him the next Cannavaro?

You just end up sounding like a moronic journalist.
i didnt say that he is the next cannavaro i said he can be the next cannavaro
and i said that because he have the same style of tackling and spacially the determination and fighting spirit

and by calling me moron you end up sounding like not respectful

I just get fed up of youngsters being compared to established players.

And there is a difference between saying someone sounds like a moron, and saying someone is a moron. ;)

Nancy-boy gets it.

The guy should come from Juve's Primavera althought I do think Alex career is not repeatable. I guess he will be at ~270 goals and ~630 games when he retires in one Jersey. Very hard to repeat nowdays!

Can anyone clarify the 'story' in today's Tuttosport, referring to Iaquinta and Hamsik?

Napoli Reject Juve Bid For Hamsik
According to Tuttosport, Napoli transfer guru Pierpaolo Marino has rejected a co-ownership offer from his Juventus counterpart Alessio Secco for wonderkid Marek Hamsik.
Hamsik joined Napoli last summer from Serie B side Brescia and was an absolute revelation in his first season in the top flight, even being named in Goal.com’s Serie A Team of the Year.

He was a virtual ever-present at the heart of the Partenopei midfield, scoring nine goals in 37 Serie A games. The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young players in world football, with a host of big teams in Europe interested in him, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus.

The Bianconeri have made no secret of their desire to sign the Slovakian, and according to Tuttosport, Alessio Secco recently made a €15m co-ownership bid for the box-to-box midfielder.

The transfer would have allowed Hamsik to stay at Napoli for the 2008/09 season, before then playing for Juve the following campaign.

However this offer was immediately rejected by Pierpaolo Marino, who has tagged Hamsik as not for sale at any price. It was revealed earlier this month that Marino, widely considered as the best transfer guru in Italy, had also snubbed a whopping €28m offer for the player from an unnamed club.
