He had the same opportunity with chelsea, he got all the players that he asked for but couldn't win the champions league!! I don't c him winning the champions league specially with those losers Inter......
Scudetto race is what i'm interested in.
I'd give my right hand to be wrong, but i still don't see us as a team that can win the CL. Not in the next year or two at least.

That's why i'm more interested in serie A and if a team that won the league twice in a row, that has ~20 players of high quality (squad depth) hires a coach who thinks that the attack wins you matches while defense wins you championships (in other words, coach perfect for long championships), then we have a reason to be worried.

You know, having a perfect team with lots of quality players doesn't mean that they'll win the CL. That's a tournament where one bad day or bad luck could mean an elimination.
But such a team, led by a great coach who'll add winning mentality to his players, can not fail in long championships, like serie A, where you can allow a bad day or two.

From my point of view, i couldn't care less about Inter our opponent in Champions League. I'm worried about Inter our opponent in serie A.

Good point, but what if we face Inter in the CL? To be honest, I am a little nervous that he is taking over. For one because whenever a new coach signs for a team with as much money as inter, the owner usually does everything they can to get the players the coach wants, at least the first year when the expectations are high. Inter's arrogant new coach is smart, but inter has always had a squad of just as arrogant players. I am curious to see how well the new combination mixes. It will def be interesting next season with "AC Milan" looking to spend a lot of money too. Lets see if lady luck shines her majesty on la vecchia signora next year:tup:

who knows, maybe we wont need luck anyways

Marino Warns Mourinho To Forget About Hamsik

Napoli sporting director, Pierpaolo Marino, has warned Jose Mourinho to forget about signing Marek Hamsik.

The Portuguese tactician is close to signing a deal with Inter and he is already planning his summer transfer list as he looks to bolster the Nerazzurri side.

One of the names on his notepad is Napoli’s brilliant Slovakian playmaker Marek Hamsik.

However, Marino has sent a stark message to the ‘Special One’ and he insists that Mourinho needs to stop his antics.

“Mourinho needs to calm down,” said Marino.

“He shouldn’t think that he can come here and start making the rules.

“However, I don’t think Inter would ever try and cause us a problem for Hamsik.”

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are keen on signing either Real Madrid’s Mahamadou Diarra or Chelsea’s Michael Essien according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.

Los Merengues are asking for €30m for the Mali international but reports in Italy claim Mourinho will have an easier task of luring his former Chelsea star Essien from Stamford Bridge.

Moratti is ready to spend big this summer as he attempts to build a squad which would almost guarantee him success in the Champions League.

Pricks! The only way they can win is to spend money money money. Too bad money doesnt always mean success...

I will be pissed if inter do end up stealing Hamsik. UGH i cant wait to play inter next season.:boxing:

Like Inter didn't already have a bench oozing with talent the past couple of seasons, and where did that get them? Goose-eggs against Liverpool, that's for sure.

Today's news from Gazzetta:

They report that we're still interested in him,and we can do some bussines now, after giving them Blasi and Zala.
Iaquinta is mentioned as possible player to go to Napoli in the deal,co-ownership possibly,as well as Pala, who's deal to Genoa collapssed due to his personal disagreement with them,he wants more bonuses in the contract, beacuse he losing them from Juve's contract who plays in the CL.

There was mentioned also Fornaroli, but i sisn't get it about him,Juve get this guy and then they will give him to Napoli after 2 years or something...

Anyway,it's nice to hear that the door is not completly shut on him.:xfinger:

we are selling Tiago and Almiron to make place for Xabi and Marchisio.
If it goes like this so we gonna have ''Xabi,Marchisio,Sissoko,Zanetti'' as CM ...... Zanetti will retire soon , so i think getting Hamsik is needed for Xabi's backup , but i don't think Hamsik well accept that....

He wants to play in the first team and grow. Napoli want to keep him till next year when his price doubles or triples.

i think he have the skills to be the next cannavaro so i hope secco or blanc thinking about getting him seriously
Why not just say that he has the potential to be a very good defender, instead of calling him the next Cannavaro?

You just end up sounding like a moronic journalist.
