IMO Hamsik is similar to Marchisio... And we don´t need 2 similar players on the team, do we??
Why not? We seem to have a good tradition in that (Emerson-Vieira, Sissoko-Nocerino). But anyway, since both Hamsik and Marchisio are more complete midfielders, they might actually be really good together, as they might switch roles during the game...

Well it's clear that we definately need more depth in our game. I happened to compare squad-sizes, and even genoa had 3 or 4 players more in their squad, then we do. If we want to play CL/UEFA & cup next year, we definately need to buy players, and having every position filled with 2 people is the minimum. Just look at what happens atm in our defense; it's horrible! People having to change positions playing out of their natural positions just in order to fill the holes. I'd definately go for hamsik, or lavezzi. We don't need back zalayeta/blasi, and we won't get that much money for the two (they were bought at 2,5 mio eur each for half of the posession), even if they are having a good season and their market value is increasing; i think their price (2 times half the player) will together be worth something around 8mio. I think with that money, plus another 6 or so, we could get one of hamsik or lavezzi.

Juve Desperate To Sign Hamsik – Report

Juventus are set to throw a large portion of their summer transfer budget behind a move for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik, according to Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri have identified the centre of their midfield as the position that most needs strengthening ahead of next season.

This has seen them linked with a host of players, including Werder Bremen’s Diego, Hamburg’s Rafael van der Vaart, and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard.

However Tuttosport claims that Marek Hamsik is emerging as the club’s main transfer target, and that they are prepared to offer cash, plus allow Marcelo Zalayeta and Manuele Blasi to sign on permanently with Napoli.

Hamsik joined Napoli in the summer from Serie B side Brescia and has been a revelation this season.

The 20-year-old has been an ever-present at the heart of the Partenopei midfield, and has a return of six goals from 27 Serie A games.

Juventus were said to be interested in signing Hamsik last summer, before sporting director Alessio Secco decided to snap up Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes instead.

Hamsik is certainly well liked by Pavel Nedved, who showered the youngster with praise last month. "He has grown in quality over a short period,” said the veteran.

“In a short time, he has become a very strong player. He really has great quality."

 Sign him immediately and get rid of Nocerino. We don't need him and we won't as things are looking now. We would have this next season: Marchisio, Hamsik, Zanetti, Sissoko and Tiago and Almiron are still ours.

Some room has to be made in order to find space for Marchisio and Hamsik, unless we are planning to use Hamsik on the left wing. :confused2

I don't know if the board is playnning on giving Almiron the 2nd chance and will Tiago be staying.

There are lot of questions for next season, form which players we will have, bring, what coach will we have and what sport director. Although for now it seems Secco and Ranieri will stay, that is not 100 % sure.
